The plumber was a very nice, very competent man. He remedied the problem very quickly.

Went very well ... came in checked system went to get replacement parts.... easily installed... said it should last 3 years...

Great. They did a great job of explaining options and performing the work. They were very prompt in scheduling an appointment and in arriving when scheduled.

They referred me to air conditioning company that was very good when my air conditioner had a problem. They are excellent. It didn't take that long, they diagnosed the problem right away and they didn't charge me for more work, they didn't do more work than I needed. I am about to call them to do something else.

A two day job: one to plumb, and one to return when the stove was delivered to install it. Plumbers were professional, clean, and efficient. Also, the dispatching and scheduling of the job went well.

They seemed pretty rushed to get the job done, and didn't do too much investigation to find what was actually leaking. They decided to check the toilet in case it was the source of the leak. They found that in fact the toilet was not leaking. However, after investigating the toilet, they did not reseat the toilet properly, such that it started leaking! I did not discover this until several months later after we fixed the original leaking source (floor radiant heat pipes), at which time we found that the toilet had not been properly reseated and waxed.

Water was leaking through a light fixture in my son's condo. We called William Macomb based on the ratings in Angies List. An appointment was made for two days after the call and the plumber arrived on time. We went into the upstairs unit and the plumber diagnosed that the dishwasher was leaking. The plumber spent about 45 minutes at the unit and did not charge me anything for the visit because he did not fix the root cause.

They are very good and responsive. There was a shut-off valve that wasn’t easily accessible and so they put in one that was easily accessible. My neighbor also uses their services. They are very competitive and reasonable, price wise. They come on time and do well. They don’t try to sell you things that you don’t need. They work with you to find a good time. They do what they are supposed to do. I would use their services in the future too. In fact, they are going to come back for more work.

Setting up the appointment was quick, pleasant and efficient and they were able to come the next day at 10 a.m. The plumber arrived promptly at 10 a.m. and completed the job quickly in exactly 20 minutes. He was knowledgeable and professional. The only difficulty comes with the price charged for labor at $125 (the washer was a reasonable if slightly inflated $4.95), which corresponds to what, say,an associate lawyer might charge ($375 per hour at a major New York or Boston law firm) on a major transaction involving ten or hundreds of millions of dollars; and translates, at 40 hours per week over 50 weeks, into $750,000 in annual revenue. Now, I might cut some slack and allow the five minutes from the place of business (at the top of Garden Street) and another five minutes back (so the corresponding figures are $250 per hour and $500,000 in annual revenue), but still there's a Bugatti in there somewhere. I think $80 to $90 would be more reasonable and would assume a generous hourly rate of $160 to $240. Most people would think that more appropriate.

They were very good and I think maybe expensive, but I know that plumbers are always expensive. They were very competent and we would use them again in the future and recommend them to others.

He is totally professional and arrives on time. When there is a problem, he is there to fix it quickly. Plumbers are expensive and he may be a little steep on the price.

They were very good. They got back to me quickly when I called them. They helped me figure out if the hot water heater was under warranty, which it wasn't. When they came out, they brought a high water heater, but they needed a shorter one, so they switched it out. They handled that well and without charging me extra. They did very good work and got the whole thing working and the result has been great.

They are very good, I am very pleased with them. They are quite reliable. I would highly recommend them.

Reliable, professional, and responsive. Business like people. They do what they say they're going to.

Plumber came in to diagnose a faucet that did fine with cold but only a trickle with hot. The faucet was broken and he was able to replace it with a Delta faucet that fits in the same space and works very nicely. He came right away (this felt like an emergency as we were having a party the next day) and we were very happy with his workmanship, speed of the job, and responsiveness. The job may have been on the expensive side, but I was very happy to get the job done immediately at a price I could handle. I would certainly call him again for additional work.

We've used him for several different kinds of work, and we've used him several times.

Huge disappointment.

WHEN I HAD WORK DONE BY THIS FIRM AT A PREVIOUS HOME, I WAS TOLD THEY BILLED AT $70 AN HOUR -- AND A 1 HOUR JOB WITH TWO GUYS COST $70. NOW, THEYRE UP TO $85/HR, WHICH IS FINE, BUT WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT OVERBILLING BECAUSE WORKMEN HAD COME WITHOUT SOME NECESSARY SUPPLIES (E.G. A SNAKE ON THE FIRST DAY), I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS BEING CUT A BREAK BECAUSE I HAD BEEN BILLED FOR ONLY ONE GUY WHEN TWO WERE WORKING. OWNER, STEVE, DID REDUCE INVOICE BY 1 LABOR HOUR, AND THE WORK WAS GOOD, BUT BE SURE TO GET AN ESTIMATE IN ADVANCE FROM THIS FIRM. TOOK THREE PHONE CALLS TO GET A DETAILED, ITEMIZED INVOICE
