Jared and his team were amazing. They were all so professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. We lived in the house for the majority of the renovation and the guys working were lovely to have around, my kids actually became quite attached to them and still asks about where they are. Jared is an expert in his field and provided creative and beautiful suggestions/solutions for any issues that came up with the design. We love our house now and I highly recommend giving them a call.

The complexities of this job involved combining tile, new wood and existing wood; assuring that a large cabinet remained on a flat and level surface; and providing a sealed and level transition between wood and tile. Additional work involved wall repair, stove installation, and painting. Jared's team handled the planning and scope of work in a timely and professional manner. There was then considerable delay (a few months) before work could begin. However once the start date came along the job was done efficiently, with no time gaps in the work. The quality was extremely good, and Jared is great to work with.

Wendel Klein Builders did a fantastic job. We had damage on two walls from ice dams last winter. They came in, assessed the damage, and provided a reasonable estimate for repair. The work got delayed a little longer than we were expecting due to competing projects, however once we decided to put our house up for sale in a hurry, we asked if he could squeeze us in and he was able to start the very next day due to a cancellation. Once they came in and opened up the wall, it was revealed that the damage was much less extensive than originally expected. Once all the work was done, the final bill was only 25-30% of what we expected, which was a very pleasant surprise! The guys were very courteous, professional and took great care within our house. The finished product looked excellent and we were very pleased!

Jared, the owner, was very professional, suggested several fixture and tile companies, and was available for questions and comments.
Ryan, the carpenter, did outstanding work.  He is the main reason my bathroom came out as I envisioned. His workmanship and attention to detail is evident throughout.  Everything fits, is lined up correctly.  Perfection.  
Sean, the painter, did careful, neat work.  His work at the end of the project was the perfect finishing touch.

Jared Klein was a pleasure to work with. I had signed the contract in February for this work, but said that I absolutely needed to have a functioning bathroom in April, which meant that the work either had to be finished by a mid-April date, or postponed. He let me know about two weeks before my date that a postponement was necessary, and that was fine with me. He was very patient with me about picking new bathroom fixtures, and the house was kept very clean throughout. I did move out while the work was done--I only have one bathroom--but access to the house was not a problem. The work did take slightly longer than planned: the original estimate was about 3 weeks, but the new bathtub surround arrived damaged, and that caused a week's delay. He was always responsive to my questions, and coordinated with me when there were issues. The bathroom is beautiful, and the garage has exactly what I need, with lots of lights and outlets. At Mr. Klein's suggestion, I used a separate contractor to install motors on the garage doors. His price was in line with other contractors, which is why I give him a B rather than an A, but I was very happy.
For the bathroom, the floor was taken up, a new bathtub, toilet, vanity, and sink were installed, and tile put on the floor. The walls were repainted with new towel bars and a new medicine cabinet installed.  
My garage is a separate building, so wiring had to be run using a trench, and sub-panel installed. I have interior and exterior lights and interior and exterior outlets, including outlets for garage-door openers.
One thing that I probably should have done is work with some sort of designer on the bathroom details. There were some things I might have done slightly differently, and the cost would have been small compared to the cost of the work.

I will report in when we are done...but so far so good!

They came recommended by a friend who noted they do great work on old homes.  They are top notch all around.  They preserved and restored what could be kept, and did an excellent job replicating the portions of the porch such as the columns and moldings that needed to be replaced.  I would highly recommend them

Wendel Klein was recommended to me by a builder whose opinion I really respect.  And I have not been disappointed.  Jared returns calls promptly, figures out how to do what I need done, follows through on his commitments, and has  been flexible to help me out in tight spots. And the work has been superior.  I will definitely use him again and highly recommend him.

We hired Jared Klein to work with us to design a bathroom renovation. He was professional, thorough, timely and offered us great ideas on how to renovate a complicated space, one that is small and irregularly shaped. We were equally pleased with all the subcontractors that he brought in for the job. Wendell Klein cares about the quality of their work. We were very pleased and have used them again for additional small jobs in our home.

After talking with Jared Klein, and 2 other contractors I went with Wendel Klein Builders because they seemed very profession.  They showed up on time and had the job finished in the scheduled time.  I have had them over to check out other jobs that I will want to get done in the future.

As with almost all renovation projects, the scope of work increases as unforeseen problems (rotten substructure, for instance) appear. Jared was very careful to keep us informed about what he discovered along the way and how it might impact our final costs.

A co-worker had recommended Jared Klein as a carpenter.  I contacted him and he came out to look at the house and sent us an estimate and a contract for the work.  The work was done on time and at the price we had agreed on.  He is very professional and does excellent work.
