Could not have been better. Their work is wonderful, the men were professional and so courteous, the work was done on time and went as smoothly as possible. I think they're great. And Scottie is a pleasure.

Great, they did a beautiful job and couldn't have been nicer or more professional.

Our condo association chose Scottie over two other companies due to his reasonable pricing and his overall excellent responsiveness. Initially all went well, with excellent communication from Scottie on when work would be starting as well as the color choices we had made. However we soon found that things we communicated to Scottie sometimes did not get through to the actual crew doing the work. We had some quality issues with the stair and porch carpentry they did, with large splinters left on the hand rails they installed and deep gouges all over the porch boards they sanded as prep for staining. Scottie was very responsive when we informed him of these issues but he did have to have someone come by three times until it was satisfactorily fixed. The guys doing the scraping left huge gouges in all the trim. What had been new pristine wood now looks 100 years old. The most significant issue we have with the work they did was that soon after the 3 year warranty expired, the paint started peeling all over the house. It's now 5 years since the job and we have to completely re-do the exterior paint. Additionally, the window trim and fascia boards they replaced are warped and rotting, some has fallen off, and all need to be replaced again. Scottie himself is a nice guy and was very apologetic and responsive, but the quality of his crew's work has proven to be very substandard. Maybe our situation was a fluke given the high ratings here. Unfortunately we cannot recommend Scotland Painting due to the poor quality of the work we had done.

Went well. Good prep and clean up every day after finishing. Polite crew. Got job done in timely manner. Only problem was that screens were not marked as to which window they belonged to. Thus when they were re-installed many were put on windows where they did not fit, leaving gaps or unable to attach clips. I only discovered it after they left as I was not informed.

Scotty is a true professional and his team did a fantastic job stripping decades-old wallpaper, repairing the walls and advising on the room colors.  Unfortunately, there were several spots that needed to be touched up, or were missed, but he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

I needed to have just the trim painted on my small house and contacted 4-5 companies that wouldn't even give me a quote for such a small job.   Scotland Painter prepped, primed and painting in less than 2 days.  They arrived just at 7a.m and set up their gear so quietly, I didn't know they were there until I heard them scraping. It looks great and is guaranteed for 3 years. I''m every pleased.

The person that came to our house and dealt with us was Scotty. He was very nice and accommodating. I was concerned about some plants out front. I didn't want them to get trampled and he assured me that they would be very careful of that, which they were. And, I asked him to put staging up to make sure that the plants didn't get damaged so he did that. They were prompt. They cleaned up everyday. The crew was Brazilian or something and they didn't really speak much English but we managed to get any problems we had straightened out. They could communicate somehow and get through to us. The painting was guaranteed for about 5 years and he came back halfway through and touched up a few things free of charge. I thought their price was within the range. I would say they were medium priced. They weren't the highest, they weren't the lowest, which is why we took them.

It went very well and quickly. Scottie, the owner, walked all around the neighborhood with me to pick the main exterior color and was very helpful. He had a pretty big crew who came for 4 days approximately. They first prepped the house for painting and then painted it. They were clean and didn't interfere with our lives at all. They did a good job and used quality paints etc because the house still looks fresh two years later.We had house appraisals soon after they worked and both appraisers gave us a higher value than we paid for the house. Speaks for itself.

Scotland painting painted our house and did a really fantastic job!  They showed up on time, finished in just under a week, and the house looks great.  They were very professional- when they had to put a ladder in our neighbor's driveway in order to paint the house, they hosed down her whole driveway at the end of the day just to be sure there were no marks.  They checked in with us on colors, were friendly with my toddler (who spent a lot of time watching them out the windows), and were even nice to the dogs.  I couldn't recommend Scotty and his time more highly.  They also offered the best price out of the three companies that we got quotes from and didn't try to sell us on additional work- they did what we hired them for and did it extremely well.  
I guess the sequence of events was that I called Scotty and set up a time to get a quote.  He showed up on time and was very friendly.  Showed me what he was looking out, pointed out problem areas, and answered my questions.  Then we scheduled the painting- his team was equally punctual, pleasant, and professional. It took them less than a week to paint the whole house and it really looks great.

He did a great job. I would recommend him in the future.

Scotty and his team provided exceptional service, from estimating to execution and clean-up. They finished on budget and ahead of schedule, arriving early, working around the weather, and coming in over the weekend as necessary. They left the site spotless at the end of each day and were very careful not to damage our plantings

The quality of the work was terrific! Our house, after 12 years of wear and tear, looks brand new.

A year later everything looks great, and I see no evidence of short-cuts or shoddy work.  Scottie was also pretty relaxed about payment schedules and was good about explaining how the work was progressing and what needed still to be done, so as we made interim payments, we knew pretty well what we were getting and how far along in the process we were.

Scotty and his crew were very professional-- these were not college students on a summer  job, but full time painters. When some dampness behind the siding caused some later bubbles, they came back to redo those areas.

Excellent from start to finish. Scottie worked with us from the beginning to understand our needs; select the paint color; review estimate. All work was done on time and with the highest quality, and the crew was professional throughout.

They came when they said they would, did a very good job and charged a fair price.

From calling Scottie to the end of the job, the project flowed and there were no particular hang-ups. Scottie came out to look at the house and to confer with us promptly within a week of when I called him. He kept his appointments at each stage. The painters showed up on time and did not disrupt our lives overly much. As I said, he was careful to get the right colors and quality of paint and to make recommendations when we wanted them. He knows his business. The painting team was well organized and he checked on them and checked in on a regular basis with us and was willing to make small adjustments as we went along. The job was begun and finished in a timely fashion. We just had the house appraised to try to get a new mortgage and I like to think that the fine painting job they did helped with that.

They did a great job staining the decks both times. The crew was very careful in prepping and cleaning the decks, then applying the stain. They came out looking great. As for the painting, the first time we hired them it went well. The second time -- two years later -- the crew did not do a good job of prepping and painting the railings, but Scotty, the owner, did follow up and redid several areas of the job. Unfortunately, the president of our Condo Association did not do a good job of managing the project, so what probably could have been a good job if I had worked with the company myself turned into comedy of errors with her poor judgment and neglectful oversight. Finally, after circumventing the president, I was able to communicate with Scotty myself and he made good on the things that went wrong. I think Scotty is a good guy and takes a personal interest in the quality of his work. I was impressed by his many follow up calls to me when he discovered that I was unhappy with the job, and his steps to correct things.

As with every job Scotland Painting has done for us, it was excellent. They do very careful prep work so that even walls with holes and cracks in them look wonderful when they're finished. We had been hesitant to do this work because we didn't want to disrupt things in the space we live in, but at the end of the first day, the living room was painted and all put back together so that we could relax there that evening. They moved from room to room, prepping and painting, being careful with all our paintings and other decorations. They were meticulous in keeping paint off our unpainted woodwork. They were prompt every morning, never did anything that we didn't ask them to do, or cause any problem at all. The painters are friendly and quiet workers who were a pleasure to have in the house. I can not recommend these painters more highly. They do professional work, clean up very well, and leave your house looking great.

I highly recommend Scotland Painting, and want to share my experience. My wife and I live in Watertown, in a 107-yr old arts & crafts home with stucco and wood exterior. We wanted to clean up the exterior, and looked for painting companies that had experience with stucco as this was a major consideration. We wanted everything painted correctly, and stucco is not a material that all firms have experience with. Luckily, a stucco house around the block was recently painted and we took note of Scotland Painting. A few weeks went by, and I called the number and the call was promptly returned by Scottie Brogan, the owner. He visited the house the next day in the evening, and we began the process of discussing work to be done, payment, and schedule. This occurred around the middle of June and Scottie committed to a mid-July start date, with the work estimated to be one week. On Thursday July 9th, Scottie called me and said that they had completed a job early, and asked if we'd mind if they started the prep/work on Saturday July 11th! We were excited to start, and really appreciative that they'd work on a weekend. There was a crew of three who we met on Saturday (Gilberto, Bruno, and a 3rd individual whose name we didn't catch)....they worked 7am-5pm on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and finished on Thursday July 16th! Our house looks amazing! To conclude, I highly recommend Scotland Painting! Professional, courteous, and pricing is reasonable. I did obtain one other quote and Scotland Painting was slightly less expensive, and their quality of work is impeccable. Work ethic of crew is amazing; and the job site was cleaned up every day. Highly recommended!!

The work was very professionally done by the company's two painters who were a pleasure to have around the house. They were quiet, considerate, cleaned up every day, and left the house looking beautiful. We have received many compliments.
