Serendipity drew me in the first time I went here (I've been six times, never with an appointment). The location couldn't be more convenient (they are near the Porter Square T stop). The owner said I could get a pedicure immediately, so I walked in, she set me soaking, and I sat for 20 minutes before she got to me. Another time, she had a friend of hers substitute, who was a little over-zealous, shall we say, with the nail trimming. When I go here, I ask that they not over-clip my cuticles, as I prefer a gentler style. The place is filthy, the chairs at the pedicure station broken, and ventilation is seriously bad. Nonetheless, when the owner does the work, it's very good, they know how to apply polish so it sticks, and you get to watch Asian soap operas while you wait, so what's not to like? --It's an entertaining place, and the price is right.
