GoGreen LawnCare - Green Makeover LLC

We have been very happy with GoGreen. We've used them for the past couple of years for spring and fall cleanup, mulching, and mowing. They use environmentally friendly products, are always friendly and professional, and offer very competitive prices. We switched from another company that was ridiculously expensive albeit perfectionist in its work. The finished product is no longer quite as perfect looking, but it is very good ... between the value and the environmental commitment, we are happy with the switch.

Overall the work was very good.We wanted edging along brick areas which was not done, but the price was lowered. Great advice about new beds, planting and organic plant and lawn care. maybe not as 'neat' as some providers but they are great to work with and we will hire them again.

GoGreen was, as usual, quick and meticulous in repairing winter ravages. GoGreen has helped us in our small urban yard for several years and are always thoughtful. They are environmentally sensitive, and have deep knowledge about plants and landscaping care. Their prices are very fair. They put up with my imperfect gardening ideas, but provide expert plans for more serious home gardeners.

We usually hire GoGreen for gardening and yard work, and they are wonderful. We were in a pinch in February, though, and needed snow work done because we were going to be out of town. Michael came and shoveled and de-iced and generally totally took care of the place, so we didn't have to worry.
Michael DeLacey and the people who work with him at GoGreen are dedicated, professional, intelligent, caring, and really nice. They do a spectacular job.
The person we had work on our yard before GoGreen always produced a bare patch in our lawn. I couldn't figure it out, and talked with him several times over several years about it. He said it was the shade from the trees. After we hired GoGreen, Michael suggested not using the weedkiller that the former gardener had used, and let the area naturally recover. It now is lovely lawn.

We've used Michael for lawn clean ups in Spring and Fall. He arrived on time and delivered the service within the time frame he promised and explained what he would do and why. No noisy leaf blowers! We especially love that he will not use any toxic products.
We will probably use him more in the future as we now know him better and want his help in improving our lawn and plantings.

No noisy / smelly power equipment! Fast estimate, showed up on time, did a nice job, kept things neat. Final price was a bit more than the estimate, but OK.

Michael has been taking care of my yard for two years now, and to my shame I am just getting around to recognizing him for his work. He is honest, hard working, and takes pride in what he does. He has a commitment to treating the environment with respect, and forgoes the use of toxins for safer, more labor intensive options.

Michael and his crew were excellent. Michael was a very clear and honest communicator. The crew worked in record-breaking heat and in between soaking rains. No problems whatsoever.

Our yard has been a problem since we moved in. None of the individual owners in our 3 unit condo building had been able to keep up with the yard work. The result was a few years of weeds and almost trees taking over our front, side and back yard. After a few attempts at weeding, the condo association decided to hire someone to help. We had a few companies come by to give us estimates, and although Go Green's was not the lowest estimate,wewere convinced that Go Green was the most knowledgeable and willing to do the most work to ensure the weeds would not return. We were very pleased with the end result ( a yard that no longer made us the embarrassment of the neighborhood). We are planning on using Go Green again for regular yard maintenance.

I agree with the other positive reviews on Angie's list (which is why we hired him in the first place). He is nice, smart, professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. He is easy to schedule, communicates well, and is responsive to client requests. His rates are very reasonable. We recommend him highly.

They were prompt, friendly, and helpful. Our experience was great and we have already used them again.

They did an excellent job. We left for work with a jungle of a backyard and patio area, and came back to a beautifully landscaped backyard. I told him that I wanted the soil to be "plant-ready" assuming that I would be doing some planting. He re-arranged some plants so that if I didn't have time to get to planting right away, the backyard still looked great. I don't know the price of this work unfortunately, because my husband hired them as a birthday present to me. He did say that he was surprised at how reasonable the price was.

We were desperately looking for someone to deal with our unkempt-looking lawn and to do some much-needed spring cleaning. Mike came by, gave us a reasonable estimate, and (hearing the desperation in my voice) fit us in immediately into his schedule -- the very next day. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. Our yard has never looked better.

Michael's worked with us to come with a plan that fit our budget. He followed up and was very responsive. He emailed us pics of materials from vendors. His crew showed up promptly, did the work in one day and cleaned up well. Very good work, and a pleasure to deal with.

GoGreen has been providing services to us since its inception in 2008. Michael DeLacy the owner is a smart, kind and professional service provider. Under his care, our lawn has remained organic and chemical-free but has looked wonderful and healthy. Michael has innovative ideas for making grass grow, using water well, repurposing unused things (in our case, an old sandbox). He has also taught us about our lawn and plants. His values infuse his work, he is a delight to have around.

He worked well within the outlined time and price ranges. The 6,000 included labor and materials. I have a wall of bamboo which offers privacy (a very labor intensive addition to my backyard and planted properly - as bamboo should be planted in lined trenches) an amazing stone patio, small fruit trees and many native plants that are amazing. He was very knowledgeable, patient and gracious and his work crew worked incredibly hard. They also cleaned the area every evening and covered dirt and stones if rain was expected.I wholeheartedly recommend Michael and GoGreenLawnCare in Jamaica Plain. They are awesome!
