I brought my 12-15 year old laptop in at noon and a new, solid state disk was installed by that afternoon. Totally fixed the problem. I had brought my husband's in a few months earlier. Don't remember the diagnosis, but we got a new solid state disk for him, too. Spectacular improvement.
