It went very well. The 2 men who did this move were very courteous, professional and knew exactly what they were doing.

Everything went as expected, it was just an expensive way to move furniture.  Unfortunately, there was no other way, and other providers would charge an equivalent amount.

These guys are astounding. I had a leather couch (newly recovered - great sentimental value) that I loaned my upstairs neighbor because I could not figure out how to fit into my office on the 2nd story of our house. The stairway to the office is too narrow to maneuver it in the conventional way. Then we got the bright idea to call Death Wish Piano Movers. They were amazing to watch. They set up a crane in a parking place in front of our house - hoisted the couch out of the 2nd floor apartment --over a balcony--and then steered the couch above the roof line of the house and then alongside it into a back window. It was a flawless performance.

After a cross country move, the only thing our movers were unable to get into the house was our 6'1" baby grand piano. They left it in the garage and referred me to Death Wish Piano Movers. I gave them a call and they were very responsive on the phone and scheduled my piano move for later that week. The guys showed up on time, were courteous throughout the job, and took care of what needed to be done. They carefully moved the piano out of the garage to the window where it would be craned up to the second story. With great precision they lifted the piano up, through the window and got everything put together without a hitch. It was impressive to watch!

These are the friendliest guys!  They stay upbeat, all while hauling a 700-pound piano up stairs and through tight spaces!  Would definitely use them again in the future.

The piano did well. The antique marble is toast.
So, for pianos, yes, for anything else, buyer beware.

The move went beautifully.
Three people arrived to handle the move.
They carefully opened the back of the clock, removed the chimes and weights, packed them carefully.
then they wrapped the clock in movers mats and wrapped that with plastic.

Everything was very carefully moved into and out of the truck.

At the destination, everything was reassembled beautifully.
The most amazing thing is they left the grandfather clock working!! It has kept perfect time since.
It had not been running for years!

They were very professional and responsive.
I would definitely use them for any delicate moving project.

Deathwish Piano Movers did a great job, they picked the piano up and carefully brought it over.  The only thing that was disappointing is that we didn't get the Deathwish Piano Movers truck...which they apologized for not being able to bring...it was on another job...but they do a great job, and having the truck w/ the name on the side wasn't important to me.  These guys know what they're doing...hire w/ confidence.

We bought a baby grand piano from friends who live about a mile away.

They had their baby grand piano lifted into their second floor by Death Wish Piano Movers a few years ago.

We thought it would be no trouble at all, since Death Wish put the piano into their place originally.

But we had not counted on LOTS of telephone wires outside our house for the move into our first floor.

Death Wish's guys were great, punctual and fast working and careful.  Their work at using their crane attached to the back of their flatbed was poetry to watch.

I took some iPhone video of it, and use that to impress my friends! We would absolutely use Death Wish Piano Movers again.

Although my wife is quick to point out that we will NOT need to move another piano for a few years to come.

NOTE: I am not exactly sure on the cost.  I think we paid in cash and I can not find the receipt right now.  But I remember being very happy with their service and the overall cost, including a nice tip we added for the two guys who did the moving.

I was very comfortable and satisfied with the work performed by Deathwish. They arrived promptly, and did their job with confidence and a healthy sense of humor. They took excellent care of my pianos and sofa, wrapping them carefully before moving them. They used a crane to carry them from my second-floor porch to their truck, and used the crane again at my new house, to lift them above the trees that were blocking the entrance. They did absolutely no damage to anything. Their price seemed very reasonable to me, and I would definitely hire them again. They are real pros.

The move went very smoothly. They removed a piano from the first floor of a house and delivered it to my  condo on the third floor with NO elevator. They were unable to use their crane due to my buildings distance from the road, so the moved it up the stairs.  It was done smoothly and relatively quickly with no damage, inside or out, to the piano.  They were also willing to reschedule a couple of times due to the private sellers fluctuating schedule without any fuss. I would definitely use them again.

Shawn on the crane and Gary on the lift did a great job.  I always wondered how stuff gets moved into city apartments above the ground floor with no elevator... these guys are it.  Professional, timely, careful, and quick.  I highly recommend them.

Deathwish sent three men with a crane truck. After conferring about the best possible route, they disassembled my baby grand piano, carefully wrapped it in furniture blankets, and strapped it to a wheeled cart. They guided it out of the house and wheeled it to the truck, and used the crane to load it safely onto the flatbed. They wrapped all the components (legs, pedals, bench, etc.) and loaded those up securely, too. The whole process took less than 45 minutes, and was amazing to watch. They were professional, courteous, efficient, resourceful, and extremely capable. Since they still have my piano (it's stored in their warehouse), I not only WOULD use them again, but I know that I WILL.

The initial response was quick and polite. I hired them on the spot (having already gotten a couple of other estimates--two higher, one about the same) because they were so nice. They showed up at my mother's house to get the piano and my mom commented on how nice the "really big, strong" guys were. She was really worried about the piano since it's been in our family for more than 25 years. They made her feel comfortable and at ease throughout the process. On my end, the experience was the same. There were mountains of snow outside and they assured me that the piano was kept heated during the move. When they got here,  they were so so so gentle with it. They were patient while I made up my mind exactly where to put it and they were careful to walk on the tarps they brought so as not to track snow into our house. We paid (we got a slight discount for paying cash!) and they were off. They offered to come back if I changed my mind about the piano location, but it was perfect.  I would absolutely hire them again. Awesome logo, too!

The delivery went exceptionally well! Deathwish was able to set up the service with a one day turnaround (I think I lucked out with the scheduling) and were extremely responsive about getting back to me. They gave me a 2 hour time range (which is very reasonable) and delivered with their estimate. I live on a 2nd floor condo and rather than take the piano up the stairs they opted for delivery via window! This seemed a lot safer than wrestling it up our long stair well. The delivery took about 1/2 an hour and was completely painless - even fun to watch! The crew was amiable and respectful and treated my piano with great care (even though it's not particularly valuable). I'll definitely use these guys again!

I was pretty pleased with the overall move. The piano was a Craigslist freebie, but they still treated it with great care. The origin of the piano was a basement and the crew ultimately had to heft it up a set of stairs. They showed up at the origin in the early part of the window they gave me, and were promptly at the destination as well.

We had a great experience with this mover. They moved two large furniture pieces from the third floor through our window. They did a great job with the moving and only had minimal damage to one of the pieces. They offered to fix it, but it was so little that we didn't worry about it. They were on time, efficient and very professional. They were very easy to work with and I appreciate how quick they responded to our needs. We would consider using them in the future.
