She took a room piled with junk and turned it into a great and functional living space. Not only did she help determine what should stay and what should go, a task we had been happily avoiding, she organized everything in a way that made it a great multi-use space for our daughter for sewing, art and homework. We gained a major part of our living space back because of Laura. We were lucky to find her!” - H.E., Cambridge, MA “I hired Laura to deal with several valuable employees whose disorganization was interfering with their work and the office’s atmosphere. While she got rid of the mess, she also trained my employees in the art of organization. I have her back quarterly to keep us in check.” - D.R., Boston, MA “I got in touch with Laura Spiro of Charles River Organizers when the time had come to put my parents in assisted living. The task before me was daunting. My parents had occupied the house for almost 50 years and kept everything. What to keep for their assisted living residence? What to give away or toss? What did I want to keep? Laura helped me make sense of an overwhelming project. We thoroughly reviewed the large house room by room, disposed of unwanted things and retained what made sense. My parents began the next stage of their lives in familiar but uncluttered surroundings. I kept significant items from my childhood, and we were able to put the newly cleaned house on the market. What's more, we made a little money selling some of the unwanted goods and furniture. Laura and her assistant Chuck helped me through a difficult and emotionally fraught process. I highly recommend her services to those of you in my position.” - J.L., Newton, MA “I can’t tell you how much your services have improved my life, I’m less stressed and happier not worrying about how my place looks and feels. Your help and education on making a place for everything is invaluable, I’ve been “meaning” to it do for years. After 3 months I still look around daily, put things in their place or, if important enough to keep, find a place for it. It’s still a joy to walk into a beautiful room that was once was filled with nothing but clutter and actually have open space in closets! Thank you for your expertise and the push that I needed, I never would have conquered it without you!” - J.I., Brookline, MA “Because of Laura’s organizing, I no longer pay $126 a month for a stora...

We began by going through what was stored in my attic.  Laura had a very sensible system for organizing  quickly, helping me decide what to throw out, what to give to a place like Goodwill, and what I might want to consider keeping but wasn't ready to decide about yet.  She was cost conscious on my behalf, telling me  -- going from the cheapest  ways to more expensive services that could be easier for me --  about shredding stacks of paper, disposing of old computers, and getting rid of bulky trash
Laura sees the big picture and also has a sharp eye for details that are helpful. After the attic, we spent a little time in my computer room sorting through my over-abundant office supplies. In a short time, there was a marked improvement in the way the supplies are organized and stored.
Laura's expertise and enthusiasm have made me feel less overwhelmed by what there is to do.

I called her and she was able to come within the week. She was completely professional, unjudgmental, and had a good sense of humor. Organizing my papers was actually enjoyable, something I never would have predicted.

Have worked with Laura several times in the past 6 months. She is
friendly, non-judgmental, fast, and has great ideas. She has helped with
both with emergency projects (getting the house ready for relatives
arriving the next day) and more involved projects, such as re-thinking
the use of our TV room and thinking up storage solutions that make sense
for our lifestyle. She is very hands-on, and pleasant to be around. We
will definitely be working with her again in 2013.

Laura is amazing! When she arrived it was impossible to walk through my back kitchen storage area - too much stuff, clutter, disorganization. After a day it is now ready for a magazine shoot! She did a "clean sweep" and now it's a joy to go back there since everything has its place and things are easy to put away. She is currently working on my office, junk drawer, and other areas that have accumulated messiness over the years. I am overjoyed that my house will soon be free of all the extra stuff that gets in the way. Laura has lifted a weight off our shoulders and is making our house more of a welcome home. She is not only efficient and quick, she is kind and lovely to be around. We highly recommend her!

As I mentioned above, the overall experience and results were fantastic. Laura is a professional and guided us to tackle each room, helping us to be mindful about what we really needed to keep and make sure we had a place for everything. She organized a place in our basement for keepsakes that our kids may want as they mature and have their own families - I might have thrown those things out if it wasn't for Laura – and over Thanksgiving my kids were grateful. In the end, we have a beautiful home that is organized, uncluttered and it still feels great to come home to. I still enjoy looking at the rooms and the tidy closets and I can find anything that I'm looking for! So, the overall experience and end results exceeded our expectations!

What I loved about Laura was that she was both organized and flexible. She clearly was attuning herself to my objectives, my style, my pace. For part of the time she worked along side me, part of the time finding parallel things to be working on while setting aside items for my consideration where necessary. She knew when to give support to discarding, and when to support saving things which were dear to my heart. She also knew to aim for a sense of satisfaction when the two hours were up. I still have things to do, but they involve sorting and selections I personally need/prefer to do alone, (though I understand her per-hour rate is less with a longer time period). Laura is relaxed, upbeat, a nice energy to be around. This was one of the best gifts I was ever given!
