I am a one man show, have been working in the industry for about 15 years both full-time and part-time. I do not use subcontractors and occasionally if the job requires extra muscle, I have associates in the trades who can assist. Greg was meticulous in his planning, layout and installation of all the h/w flooring and a deck. He is a careful planner and then completes the work very efficiently and with excellent quality. At times, given the age of the house and subflooring there were obstacles that had to be dealt with. He was very creative in his approach and made recommendations for us as homeowners to decide how we'd like it addressed. He explained in detail the issue, made suggestions and was flexible and accommodating to our input and wishes.
Greg was very plan and schedule driven. When the schedule was laid out he delivered on that schedule in a very timely manner and was always punctual. He was very flexible and always worked around our schedules as we were moving back into the house as rooms became finished. He always cleaned up and made the work space safe for us at the end of each day.
All the hardwoods are beautiful and we've had many visitors who have commented on how great they look as well. They're a topic of conversation for sure.
The deck Greg built was quite extensive and was under heavy scrutiny by the town with multiple inspections required including footings, railings etc. Greg delivered everything to code and with very high quality. We'll be adding more decks in 2016 and we're hoping Greg will work us into his schedule so we can realize another quality job at an affordable price.
I've been in the real estate business for many years and have seen many homes inside & out. The work Greg has done for us stands out in my mind even as I compare it objectively to all the homes I've seen through my years as an agent. No handy-man special or elements here. Only high quality that will endure throughout the years.
