V-Knows Cabinetry

The entire experience was terrible. He talks like he is some kind of artist with wood but his ability execute is nonexistent and he is too arrogant to take responsibility for any of his mistakes. We paid him 55,000 dollars. Every appliance cabinet was cut to the wrong specifications. He claimed the we gave him the wrong specs which was impossible because we only picked one appliance manufacturer and waited 6 months for the appliances. He refused to fix any of the cabinets except the upper one over the refrigerator which he then cut wrong a second time. The doors to the pantry were cut 6 inches too short and he gave us some wood to screw to the bottom of them to make them long enough instead of recutting them. He cut the stove hood too small for the stove and we had to get a smaller fan unit. Our glass display cabinets came with putty on the inside of the doors rather than trim. He gave us wood shelves for the display cabinets instead of glass so the cabinet lighting only lights up the top shelf. There were a myriad of other problems too numerous to mention. Fortunately our carpenter was able to correct most of the mistakes but we had to pay him to do so which added substantially to the kitchen cost. Good luck if you use him.

Phi made a giant mistake in measuring and designing our built-in cabinets that put our living room out of action for 3 months while he remade the cabinets. We hoped to paint at the same time, so it all was a mess because he forgot to "minus 2 inches" on each side. There were a string of other small problems that he blamed on the installers who had to use pieces that were not measured correctly.

Service was poor. Owner was always behind schedule and very hostile. Shortly after installation cabinet doors began falling off hinges. Custom paint job has chipped off even in areas where there is minimal use. Cabinet frames and doors do not align properly. There are gaps of varying sizes that are very noticeable. Job was many weeks behind schedule. Panel behind flat screen tv in family room cabinet unit was extremely poorly constructed. Rather than put in effort to make panel flush with the back of the cabinet the owner took short cuts and included cut outs and border trim That looks terrible. Stay away from this service provider.

Emailed project, got estimate, brought items, he made then in the time he said and for the price quoted. Excellent service.

Phil was incredibly accommodating. This was a little job that most people wouldn't bother with, but he was very happy to help and did a perfect job. The finished doors look better than we had anticipated.
