From walking in, reading the articles and reviews on the wall of the restroom, perusing the frames hanging up like a museum gallery--the experience was beautiful.

Chris was recommended by The Frameworks in Burlington MA when we purchased from them a large custom framed mirror to be hung over our fireplace mantel. I knew we would not be able to hang it and feared we would just damage the wall and end up with a mess. I contacted Chris and immediately got through to him. He indicated that performing this kind of hanging service was something he regularly did and informed me of his rate ($85 / hr). I asked him if he would also be able to pick up the piece, as I was not able to fit it into my automobile when I went to see it and pay for it. He had no problem stopping by there on his way to our house that morning. He did charge a service fee to pick it up ($20), but I thought that was reasonable.He as exactly on time and described for me what he would do. I indicated that as the house is old, it has the old style plaster walls which we have found very difficult to work with in the past. He showed me some of the hardware he had to deal with this sort of situation and he and I discussed which one would work best for the weight of the mirror and how we wanted it to be positioned. He and I also spoke about where it should be be hung to match the other wall mounted items in the room and for the best look.

In the end he mounted it very quickly and made zero mess. The mirror sits against the wall very snugly and looks very good. I think he did an outstanding job and I highly recommend his work. He was extremely professional, came exactly when he said he would, and was easily reachable by the number he provided. I will definitely use his services again.

Chris originally came to my home to fix a picture that had move out of place in it's frame when we moved. He corrected it as best as he could but since it wasn't perfect, he didn't charge me. (He said that he could completely reframe the picture but didn't recommend it.) At a later date he picked up a Chinese screen that we bought and put a new back on it. When he delivered the screen he hung some pictures that were very large and we were nervous about them falling if not properly hung. Chris adjusted his schedule to pick up the screen for us and deliver it very quickly. He's willing to do what's needed to get the job done.

I WALKED INTO THE SHOP AND GOT A CONSULTATION ON THE SPOT. I AM SOMEWHAT KNOWLEDGEABLE WITH THE INDUSTRY AND GOT VERY HONEST/STRAIGHTFORWARD ANSWERS. THEY ALSO TRIED TO KEEP MY COSTS DOWN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE WITH MATERIALS SELECTION AND DID NOT TRY TO SELL ME ANYTHING I DID NOT NEED. I KNEW GOING IN THAT IT WOULD BE A PRICEY INVESTMENT ESPECIALLY SINCE THE PIECE IS 3' X 5'. THEY DID SOME MANUAL PASTING IN AND TOUCH UP OF THE PIECE AS WELL. I CURRENTLY DO HAVE TO GO BACK TO THEM SINCE THE FRAME IS SEPARATING UNDER IT'S OWN WEIGHT. I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT BUT BELIEVE THEY WILL BE VERY ATTENTIVE TO A SOLUTION. WHEN I CALLED TO REPORT THE PROBLEM THEY WERE VERY RECEPTIVE.
