we had routine service for our minivan including oil change. After driving it for 40 miles out of the service shop, the engine was gone due to oil pump failure.

My car is there now.

Shimon's service did a great job. I was especially impressed that they DIDN'T fix my brakes when they were making sounds because it was actually just the parts and they didn't need to be replaced. I really appreciated that. Also they were super quick and courteous.

Very well. Easy drop off, open late for pickup.

Have been bringing my car here for 4 years for inspections, oil changes and repairs. They are quick, courteous and have fair prices. Whenever I've needed car repairs, they explain the problem first before doing any work. I have never had any bad experiences here.

I highly recommend Shimon's Service station for general automotive repairs. I have used them for a number of years, now. Very fair, honest and hardworking guys- no loaner cars available, but I live in the neighborhood and it is easy to drop my car off and walk home. Located in the heart of Coolidge Corner in Brookline with great access to C and B line trolleys, and the 66 bus. Plus, their gas prices are always competitive with their self serve rivals across the street, and Shimons will always pump the gas for you, a la New Jersey!

They are excellent. Very friendly and competent crew. I call up the day before and bring the car to the shop. It is always done on time and no and quot;extraand quot; surprises. I will continue to use them in the future

Called to check if they performed brake work as was looking for new auto service center to take over from previous station as moved into Brookline. Shlomi advised to bring car in the AM to evaluate and provide estimate. Left car with Shlomi. He called a little while later and confirmed brakes were worn and needed new rotors and pads and provided cost. He would use OEM material and guarantee work and brakes for 12mos/12,000mi. Told him to go ahead and he called back 3 hours later confirming all work was done and car ready to pick up. He provided me with senior discount which made cost affordable for me.

This gas station twice ripped me off. The first time I brought a new Saturn SUV in for its first sticker. I had $10 in quarters in the middle compartment. When I left I noticed half the quarters were gone. Next time I went back with a Mercedes SUV - bad idea. I paid for my sticker, then the mechanic told me I wasn't going to pass. He said my rear windows were too dark. He then asked to talk with me outside alone. I went outside with him and he said he could pass my SUV for an extra $100. I knew he was lying about my windows because my Mercedes windows are lighter than the Saturn SUV I brought in before. I didn't want to get a rejection sticker and didn't want to take a chance of him putting it on so I told him I didn't have $100 on me. I only had $40 so he still took it. I could not believe this was happening to me. I'm sure it must happen all the time.
