"Dear, We are very happy to achieve a high praise from you for the quality of our work. Only a man with extremely high expectations and a very tough critic could comment “The work they did was very good” and leave us a “D” rating – this makes us proud and we shall continue our mission for delivering highest quality results to our customers! Stephen we really appreciate your feedback and we are glad that you have found the time and opportunity to rate our services. Now what would really make your words and rating valuable to the whole Angie’s List community if you actually would come through on paying the workers that have done all that excellent work!!! For over one (1) year you have owed us nearly HALF the project’s worth in labor and materials that you had us purchase on your behalf and despite our numerous attempts asking you for payment, all you have done is tried sending us a cancelled check for the 1/3 of owed amount marked as “Final Payment”. We are certainly glad that you have been enjoying your new kitchen for over a year now. However, your review only adds insult to the injury and is very rude to all those people who worked very hard to bring pleasure to your life only to learn later that their hard work will not help them to provide for their loved ones. We certainly hope that this has been a big misunderstanding and we encourage you to contact us to settle your debt and write a review that accurately reflects our hard work and is useful to the rest of the community. Thank you. Sincerely, Kitchen Works Installation team"
First step was to plan the kitchen. We already had a pretty firm idea of what we wanted, so this basically just came down to us showing Alex from Kitchenworks what we want, and him making correction and suggestions. This was a pretty quick and easy process, and after that we handed our design over to Kitchenworks to complete the details. They added all the necessary cover panels and splints that I would have never thought of, and the outcome of this was a detailed shopping list, with which we went to IKEA and placed our order.
After the cabinets came in, we assembled the cabinet boxes (Kitchenworks would have done that as well, but were very accommodating to let us do it and save some money in the process).
The final and most nerve wracking step for me then was for the workers to come in and to actually install the kitchen. I was very worried about this, because honestly I'm very wary when it comes to handymen. Trust issues I guess :) I usually do everything myself, but sometimes you just have to hand the reigns to someone else....
Anyway, I couldn't be more happy with the guys. They far exceeded my expectation in all aspects. Not only did they do excellent and flawless work, but they were extremely quick about. The whole kitchen was installed in two days! It would have taken me at least a week or more by myself, and the outcome would not have been that good :)
They also took their time to stop and ask me how I want certain things done, and showed me certain steps along the process that were important to know.
So, overall, I'm very pleased. Kitchenworks was very accommodating when it came to our special requests, and the quality of the work was excellent. I can honestly say that this was the first time I'm not regretting spending money on getting outside help.
