 + -1 moreJOE SILVANO IS IN NO WAY AN HONEST CONTRACTOR. HIS COMPANY CCG(CONSTRUCTION CONSULTING GROUP) FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY,AT MY EXPENSE. BEWARE MR. SILVANO CONTINUES TO DO BUSINESS IN THE BOSTON AREA.
Description of Work: MY HOUSE WAS UNDER RENOVATION FOR 2YRS. HAVING BEEN TOLD THAT THE PROJECT WOULD TAKE 6-8 MONTHS.

 + -1 moreMY MONEY WAS TAKEN; THE SUBS WERE NOT PAID FOR THEIR WORK; THE WORK WAS NOT COMPLETED; AND THERE WERE LEGAL ISSUES.
Description of Work: WE PAID A DEPOSIT AND SEVERAL PAYMENTS ON WORK TO BE DONE, INCLUDING REPLACEMENT OF MULTIPLE WINDOWS, NEW PORCH ROOF, NEW RETAINING WALL, NEW CEILING FAN INSTALLATION, RENOVATION OF A ROOM (NEW WALLS, NEW FLOOR, ELECTRICAL WORK), KITCHEN FLOOR REFINISHING, AND GUTTER REPAIR, TO COMMENCE IN JUNE 2003 AND TO BE COMPLETE BY MID AUGUST 2003. THE KITCHEN FLOOR WAS REFINISHED, HALFWAY WITH 'SATIN' POLYURETHANE AND HALFWAY WITH 'GLOSSY' FINISH. THE ROOM TO BE RENOVATED WAS DEMOLISHED AND ONLY PARTIALLY REBUILT. AT THIS POINT, ALL OF THE SUBS COMPLAINED THAT THE CONTRACTOR OWED THEM MONEY. THEY REFUSED TO COME BACK UNLESS HE PAID THEM. IN MID OCTOBER, I WAS CONTACTED BY TWO DIFFERENT SUBS, ONE TRYING TO FIND THE CONTRACTOR, AND ONE THREATENING ME WITH A LIEN ON MY HOUSE. THE CONTRACTOR DID NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS OR LETTERS.
