WORST MOVERS EVER! STOLE FROM ME! OFFICE PERSON STACEY UNRESPONSIVE TO SEVERAL EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, THE CREW THAT MOVED ME WERE THIEVES AND DESTRUCTIVE OF MY PROPERTY! AFTER ALMOST 4 WEEKS I'VE NOT RECEIVED ONE PHONE CALL AND 2 EMAILS WHICH STATED CRAP. SHE'S COSIGNING ALL THAT WENT WRONG, HOW THAT'S EVEN POSSIBLE I DON'T KNOW. THEY RIPPED MY COUCH AND TRIED TO HIDE IT AND SNAPPED THE LEG OFF OF IT! RIPPED THE FACE OFF OF ONE BUREAU DRAWER AND THE BUREAU HAS CHUNKS OF WOOD TAKEN OUT OF IT. MY DEPRESSION GLASS COLLECTION SHATTERED, NUMEROUS OTHER ITEMS BROKEN, SQUASHED AND SMASHED. 6 TOTES WERE BROKEN AND HAD TO BE TRASHED, BOXES COMPLETELY SQUASHED AS WELL AS THE ITEMS INSIDE, TORE THE TOP OFF OF MY OAK BOOKCASE AND NEVER ONCE MENTIONED ANY OF THIS TO ME, INSTEAD ACTED LIKE CHILDREN AND SAID NOTHING! STOLE 3 TOTES OF HIGH END ITEMS, I HAVE VIDEO PROOF OF THE THEFT! AUTHORITIES HAVE BEEN CONTACTED AND ARE INVESTIGATING! SERIOUSLY THERE ARE TOO MANY GOOD MOVING COMPANIES OUT THERE THAN TO HIRE THIS BAND OF MISFITS! DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE! THEY ARE THIEVES AND HACKS!

Part 1 of the move was okay. Part 2 appeared okay, however, when the dust settled and we began to go through our belongings and unpack, we found broken items in boxes and rubbermaid bins, missing items, and an antique Lane hope chest had the leg broken off. The movers knew that they had damaged this as they opened the chest and put the leg inside. Shamefully, the movers accepted a $100 tip to be split between the group. Numerous calls and emails to Carl (the owner) went unanswered. Poor customer service and follow up. He just doesn't care about the customer after the move.

Kilroy Bros. moved us on 11/1/18. 6 men showed up and after 2 hours, two of the movers (one of whom was the owner's son) exchanged words and got into a brawl in our dining room, resulting in a 2'x2' hole in the wall and clumps of hair on the floor. It took several other men to break up the fight and caused significant distress to my wife as she was screaming for them to stop fighting and get out of our house. When I called Karl ( the owner of the company) to ask him to make this situation right (ie. discount the bill ) he told me he would have the damage fixed (which he did) he also offered a $500 discount (13% on a $3800 bill) and when I said that wasn't good enough he said "I'm not going to lose money on this job". I was stunned but considering I was literally in the middle of a very stressful move I accepted, telling Karl "if you think $500 makes this situation right then so be it, I don't have time to deal with this now". The move continued and they then proceeded to "lose" a box full of my wife's expensive shoes ($3000), one of the men that was in the fight took our cabinet hardware with him when he was thrown off the job and I was told I would have it back in 1-2 days, when I asked why the hardware couldn't be brought to my new house (4 miles away) immediately, I was told " It just can't", they returned it 5 days later. Karl didn't care that grown men were fighting in my home, that my wife was traumatized by the events, that his company took my property to his warehouse and didn't get it back to me for 5 days, that a box full of expensive shoes were lost in a move that was 4 miles long. After the emotions settled down I spoke to Karl again and I asked him to "make this situation right" and his response, once again showed that he does not care about his customers. He told me, "you accepted $500 off the total bill and we fixed the damage to your house so we consider this matter closed." I can't emphasize enough how bad an experience we had with Kilroy Bros. Movers and would warn all possible customers to use someone else.

Very well. The selection of boxes was good (the Angie's List deal) and the move went very smoothly. Very professional, careful and courteous crew. I would use them again!

The man who came overshot what they were capable of doing. They estimated 2 days, it took them 3 days and two of the days were 12 hr days.
They didn't charge us extra but they were very under staffed with younger workers who did not want to pack. When we unpacked the boxes everything was not in it's right place.

They were prompt, courteous, and professional. They were very flexible in scheduling my very important move. I would highly recommend them, especially since most of the other companies did  not even bother to call me back.

This was a great experience. I went with Kilroy Brothers, because they were the only company that actually came out to survey my home and gave me a binding estimate. They were punctual, polite, helpful and very thoughtful. When I told them that they could just dump all the boxes in one room, they went out of their way to arrange them, so that I could access every box for ease of unpacking.

Kilroy brothers moved my elderly parents into assisted living in February of 2012. They were very respectful and patient with my parents. I was so pleased with their service that I used them when I moved in August of 2012 and was equally impressed with their punctuality, professionalism, and efficiency.

The employees were very hardworking, courteous, and helpful. They really went above and beyond. On the other hand, they moved so fast it was distracting. They moved and carried without what I would consider to be necessary and appropriate safety equipment. On the day they were to move us into our new home, they were four hours late. The response from the office was that they had sent them out on another job. The person from the office was rude when explaining this, it was not a pleasant exchange. There was no damage to any of our belongings. The service was good over all just a little rough around the edges.

Promptly responded to our request for an estimate. They were not the cheapest but appeared knowledgeable and honest. They sold us with explanation about "family business" and that there is a member of their family on site for each job. It appeared that things would be made easier for us; for example, they would drop off tape, boxes, paper, etc that we could use if we chose to. He asked where I was currently purchasing boxes and I told him Lowe's. He said oh, our boxes are "comparable to Lowe's prices and you don't have to go get them". All sounded good, reviews on A.L. were good so we hired them. Day of move, arrived on time with a team of 5 guys who took a tour of our house. All boxes were placed downstairs near front door, bigger items left in rooms as we were told to do (mattresses, etc); this home is only about 1100 sq ft. The team loaded up the truck in a fair amount of time (about 3 hrs) and left. We went to our closing and were told the truck would meet us at the new house at 12:30pm (they had me call when we were going in to close on the new house, which I did at 10:30am). We went to the new house immediately after closing and were there by 12 noon. Well, 12:30pm came and went with no sign of them. They arrived at 3:00pm to unload (we were told they did another job in between our two and had to go back to Brockton to pick up our truck). As you can probably guess, they had started to get tired by this time. They began unloading our items very quickly which I assume is typical at the end of a day. However, they quickly became careless and began to put things anywhere they could and would ask me questions such as "does this have to be brought downstairs (or upstairs) or can I just leave it in that (spare) room?" Everything was clearly marked so they knew where it had to go. I bought pizza and soda for the entire crew since I knew their energy level was fading. They called in additional men to help unload and they finished around 7:00 pm. When the team leader sat with my husband to square up the bill, he tried to charge over $200 for 10-12 boxes then reduced that price when my husband complained. The total cost ended up being over the estimate by a few hundred dollars. The biggest problem is that after they were gone, we discovered many items that were not put together properly (or not at all). We had a wooden, roll-top desk (few years old, not antique) that was "reassembled". We went to move it from one corner of our family room to another and the entire top of the desk came off. Our kids bunk beds were not even put back together (we were told they were missing hardware), and we have found several items since then that are broken. Overall, we are not satisfied with the service they provided. Started off good, but as it got later the movers got sloppier and hurried through which resulted in our furniture being destroyed.

The Three Musketeers, what a dream team. Do not hesitate one minute to use this company. I hope you'll be lucky enough to get my guys. Prompt, accommodating, courteous, polite, careful and on and on. Not a hitch on the big day thanks to these gentlemen.
Karl I hope you treat them well.

Great!  My movers arrived on time for the pick-up of my goods and were a day earlier than I expected in South Carolina.  The cost was exactly what I was quoted.  My furniture arrived safely and in great shape -- no damage.  Even my boxes arrived perfectly!  Highly recommend.

One day, they came and did some small packing, but I had most of the packing done myself. They were excellent. I would recommend them to anybody. They were very courteous and everything. It was a hard move and hard to get into as far as the hill. They were very pleasant and on the ball. I have zero complaints. They packed everything gently. I cannot give them a better rating. The head guy, Ritch, was over and this kid Mike, they came both days, and then there were two other ones on Saturday helping. They were just wonderful. I could talk with them. They understood it was a tough job, and I was on my own. I hurried, and they worked with me. It was just awesome. I think they were reasonable for what you get.

This move went extremely well starting with making the arrangements for the move, getting the date/time that I preferred. This was a small short-haul move with several items of large furniture to be removed from one home and moved to another in the next town. The movers arrived on time, were courteous and professional - very careful to get all the pieces that should be moved (and leaving everything that shouldn't be moved!). They were extremely helpful at both ends of the move in helping to place the furniture and moving existing furniture around to accommodate new pieces. Additionally they worked efficiently which, because the cost of the move was hour-based, helped to keep the cost down. Cost was fair and there were no surprise fees at the end.

This is really a tale of two stories. The initial assessment with Karl and the move out of our condo was a breeze. I was incredibly content following the first half of the move. Karl's quote was fantastic and provided me the comfort that I wanted since we didn't have to really worry about how long the guys took to move us out of the condo. The showed up on time, were very friendly and did an amazing job tagging, wrapping and moving everything into their truck. I had even forgotten a few things that they waited for me to pack up even though they were ready to leave.
Over the next few months I constantly called the office to rebook my move date because my builder was habitually late. The woman in the office was amazing, helpful and friendly. She graciously shifted my delivery dates even if I was providing her a last minute update. Again, top notch service...wonderful and easy to work with.
Honestly, if I were reviewing my experience based on the move out of the condo they would have had As across the board.
My problems arise when I rate the second half of the experience. I found the move into the new house wasn't as smooth as the move out of the condo.
The guys were friendly and asked where everything should go, but I just didn't feel like they were as careful as the first team. A few of our new walls and our hand crafted wainscoating was damaged during the move, which is a surprise since the halls and stairways in the house were significantly larger than the condo.
Quite honestly though, this isn't what bothered me the most. Where the low rating really comes into play is the damage to our belongings that appears to have been caused by things being crammed together (likely in storage).
For example, our 6 month old leather sectional is "flat"; what I mean by this is that a couple cushions show clear signs of having been compressed for an extended period of time and have no life to them.
One of my bookshelves (again fairly new - ~ 1 year old) is wobbly and some of the molding is coming off.
An oversized stock pot used to boil lobsters was completely crushed (it was in a box).
There are numerous dings on our oak master bedroom set.
One of my other leather couches and my king size mattress have small tears
The reason for the price grade is because Kilroy storage prices are almost double what most places charge for storage and for such a price I would expect premium treatment of my belongings while in storage, but I have evidence to the contrary.
Again, I think the people were fantastic, the movers were nice, Karl was great and the woman working the office was a dream. If not for the storage damage I would probably have overlooked the wall and wainscoating damage (it happens...) but whenever I sit in my sectional to watch TV and I dissapear into the cushions with no bounce, I am dissapointed all over again.

As promised, there were no surprises around the cost of the move, which pleased us.  The crew worked hard, did an amazing and skilful job of packing (for the most part), generally communicated well and listened to our directions and desires. Again, in general I was pleased with them, their timeliness, their price.  But four things happened that made me lower their score and report that I would not use them again.  1) in the course of moving they damaged (as in put a 2" hole in) a dining room door - but failed to tell us.  When we discovered the damage and asked about it, the foreman seemed surprised, and only half-heartedly offered to repair the damage. We thought not telling us was terribly unprofessional.  2) They disassembled a leather couch and loveseat in order to get it to fit on the truck.  But they failed to properly re-assemble them when they were delivered. We discovered this a couple days after moving, and had to re-assemble the two pieces ourselves, which was a bit of a challenge since several pieces of hardware were missing. Again, really unhappy that nothing was said.  3) They removed the front door to make the moving easier, but failed to re-hang it when they left. 4) Due to comments I had made about how much stuff we had sold or given to charity, the company showed up with two trucks as promised, but one was much smaller than the other.  I wish I'd never made the comment, because it became clear that it was going to be a very tight fit. As skilled and careful as the packing job was on the first truck, it felt like the crew was hurrying to get out of there, and the care with which the second truck was being packed seemed to diminish as the day wore on.  So quite a number of items ended up not fitting on the truck and were left behind. Not things of great value, but still...  Again, I take some responsibility for their decision to change the truck size.... but two of the larger trucks would have handled the job fine.
