Robert Heap, Sr, started Heap Paving & Sealing in 1960 and his son, Greg Heap, joined the family business in 1988. Since Robert's passing in 2008, Greg has continued running the family business and for over 50 years our company has stood by our original founding principles of quality, reliability, professionalism and safety. It was one issue after the other, it was a nightmare, I couldn’t wait for it to be finished. They ruined my walkway in the process and kept telling me “a few more weeks” to fix it. I had to hire someone else after 4 months of lip service from Mitch. I couldn’t even reach the owner, zero integrity. Do not use them, absolute **** show.

They provided a very reasonable quote and the crew seemed to perform quality work. The driveway looked great. The work was performed around Thanksgiving 2020 and we gave it an extra day over their recommendation to cure before using it. The following spring we noticed weeds breaking through in parts where there was no prior driveway. I was able to fix these myself with Mitch's suggestion. At the time I also reported one small tire track that seemed to be imprinted in the asphalt. Mitch didn't comment about it at the time. Since then, the problem has worsened where there are several tire tracks and some are an inch deep and cracks are forming (picture shown). Even though I contacted Mitch, he seems to be avoiding me now and does not always return my text messages. Unfortunately, according to their quote they do not seem to provide any warranty. I'm not sure what the issue is, but it seems as if the asphalt has still not cured properly after 6 months. Not sure how to fix this and may have to contact another company. They have not been very communicative and they certainly do not seem to care about the customer being happy.

Drive way was installed in October It looked good at first but the material was very course in the spring tire marks started to show up so i started calling mitch and e-mail they were to busy to fix my problems until October the next spring same problems again call call and call still no results. I now have a dip on one side so now i am hiring someone else to fix there bad Job

Share review Embed review Write an update Edit review 6/26/2020 I emailed Heap for a estimate on May 28 2020. The next day Mitch called me and set up a time for 5 pm that evening. At 5 pm Mitch was in my driveway and we went over everything we wanted done he wrote up the estimate which was quite reasonable. Then my wife decided to add 2 small walkways and he had no problem rewriting it, in fact when he was done he gave me a Veterans discount. We asked when they will start and he asked us to give him at least 2 weeks. I waited and emailed him on the 3rd week and he called me that Monday and said they would be out in the morning at 7 am. 7 am they were at my house with the equipment and started working and didn't stop except for breaks and lunch. Ripping up the old asphalt and widening the driveway The guys were awesome! As hot as it was Tues and even hotter pouring that asphalt they didn't stop. Mitch came by and added a little more to the walkways so they would look nice instead of so square. They did such a nice job, perfect pitch to both ends of the driveway. I have a very long horseshoe driveway around 125' with a small turn around on the side. Greg the owner and his men were very accommodating when I asked for some little things. So many people have stopped and complimented on my driveway that I'm leaving his signs up. Bottom line, YES I would recommend Heap Paving to everyone. Good job guys!!! Bob May

The driveway looks good which is why I gave an initial favorable review. However, the main reason I did the replacement was to stop water from flooding the driveway. Instead of excavating, the contractor built a "swail" assuring me it would work. It does not work with medium to heavy rain. In fact water drainage is worse than before.

I contacted Mitch from Heap last year and obtained a qoute but was unable to have the work done last year due to an unforeseen financial situation. When I called again this year Mitch was very understanding and honored the original quote...a very pleasant surprise. The Heap crew arrived on time and prepared. The crew that worked on our driveway were all gentlemen and pleasant. They took the time to listen to our concerns before begining the work which was very assuring. When they were done our driveway was amazing and all our concerns were addressed. Many of our neighbors have already commented on how great it looks! We are happy to display the Heap Pavement sign on our lawn. Thank you Heap crew for improving the curb appeal of our home!?

Mitch worked with me throughout the entire process. Due to the rain we had in April we had to wait a little for the ground to dry up but once the work got scheduled the crew came in at the scheduled time and the staff was very professional. I was able to see the progress of the work through my security cameras and I was very satisfied but when I got home and saw the finished product it was better than what it looked on the cameras. Extremely satisfied!

NEVER again will a choose such a lousy, unprofessional company. To be fair, the owner Greg seems like a decent guy, but the staff he has working under him will ultimately lead to their downfall. We decided to have Heap Paving redo our driveway after a family friend suggested them. They were extremely responsive, came right out for the quote, and came right out to do the work, but once they got our money it was like we didn't exist. We had an addition added that was built undersized from our agreed upon dimensions, the new driveway was so low that we're getting constant flooding. It's been an almost 2 year battle with this company getting pushed off and lied to, until finally their estimator Mitch sends me a text on accident stating 'This is [Address Removed]. F*ck this guy. You need to tell me what u want to do. We have just enough work on the books to make money thru next Friday. Do you want me to squeeze it in'. We now have a pitiful driveway that is WORSE than what we started with, a company that claims to back there work hiding from their terrible workmanship, and a newly flooding driveway that is destroying our lawn. Don't be suckered by these guys. I was MORE than patient not reviewing for almost 2 years, time and time again I accepted their bogus 'repair' dates only to get cancelled last minute or not showing up entirely, now I'm the one dealing with their horrendous job.

We worked with Heap Paving to replace and expand our existing driveway and we could not be more pleased with our experience. When we sent our inquiry Mitch came the next day to give us a quote. The quote was fair and they told us up front how long it would be before they could do the work. When it came time there were some delays due to a significant amount of rain we received over a few weeks but Mitch kept me updated throughout. The delays did not bother us as we weren't in a rush but I appreciated being informed. The day came and they completed everything in about 6 hours. They are very professional and efficient. I love our new driveway! It looks so smooth and even with clean lines. They did a beautiful job. After they were done Greg the owner went over everything with me to make sure I get the best out of my new driveway. I would definitely recommend Heap Paving to anyone looking for asphalt driveway service.

Heap called back within a couple of hours. Mitch came over the next day and gave me a very fair price to repair 3 sinkholes and sealcoat the entire driveway. Duncan, the technician, set up a time to do the work, and came to the house on time. Overall, we were very pleased with the process and the work performed.

Did a little research and decided to contact Heap for my driveway replacement. Phone was answered right away and I had a very reasonable written estimate in my hand the next day. Six weeks later they arrived on time as promised. Removed the existing driveway, installed a new base and properly graded it for drainage and then paved it. Completed in one day including cleanup. These guys are professional, courteous and work hard. Give them a call you won't be disappointed.

The job went very well and was completed in a day. Ground preparation was better than the previous asphalt job. Foreman Greg answered all my questions and told me when and how often to have future maintenance done on the finished driveway. This was a long difficult driveway to pave but they did an excellent job.

Went great! Overall communication was excellent with Owner leading up to service and quality of work was excellent. Sealcoat was applied with wand and I was skeptical at first but job was very professionally done and care was taken not to overlap on walkways. Will definitely hire again.

From the very first meeting with Mitch, the Operations Manager, things went smoothly. He was great to work with. Greg and his crew arrived on August 7, 2017 and had the old driveway ripped out and the new and enlarged one installed in less than four hours. A great group of workers and a top notch quality job.
