"[Member Name Removed], Our point of contact, the builder did not contact us with any issues until February 2018. We did have an inspector go out to your property immediately and listed below were the findings directly from the report. The hardwood flooring was not installed too tight and the swelling was caused due to the excessive moisture everywhere. The sub pump was consistently draining and the basement floor was wet. The project went directly through the builder and we sent him the findings report. Inspector Report: I have been given photos and information pertaining to material above and would like to offer what information I can to assist you. Marco, as a gesture of good will, came to the house to inspect a complaint on what he was told was splits and checks. He was not informed before his visit of the excess moisture in the house, in the floor boards and in the basement. Marco's inspection showed moisture in the flooring as high as 15.8%, which for this time of year, is extremely high and beyond what is acceptable for an appropriate flooring environment. He also saw wet conditions in the basement as well as a sump pump draining water. He also notice boards pulling away as well as buckling, all consistent with excessive moisture."
Everyone from the sales people at the store to the installers were very helpful and knowledgeable. They were on time and finished in the time specified. The original date of installation had to be changed, due to unavailable stock, but the sales people kept me appropriately informed and the second installation date was as promised.
