Amy Peters told us she needed to be paid up front (should have been a BIG red flag), and because of her apparent sincerity and sad story, we paid her $150 for July 21, and then sent $300 for the additional two upcoming cleanings, Aug. 4 and Aug. 11. She apparently performed the first cleaning (July 21). We kept in contact with her, as we live 200 miles away and needed to confirm the house was left with no major damage, and the renters could receive their deposit back. On Aug. 4, the next time we needed her services, we emailed and phoned her to no avail and never received a call back - until Tuesday. She informed us she hadn't done the cleaning Aug. 4, as she was in the hospital, but we got no answer as to why we weren't called by someone to allow us to find a substitute. Our renters had come to a house in the same condition as the previous renters had left it. We were grateful there were no complaints. We were very upset; Ms Peters assured us she would return that $150 and would be doing the cleaning on Aug. 11.She was to begin cleaning at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m. she called us to tell us she "wasn't up to cleaning" that day! Now, with only 3-1/2 hours until the next renters arrived, we had to scramble to find a substitute from 200 miles away. Luckily, our rental agent's diligence found us a substitute. We have repeatedly asked for return of the $300 and have gotten promises of bi-weekly payments of $50 until the $300 is paid back, but have not actually received anything but sob stories, sarcasm, and rudeness. This fiasco may end up in small claims court. I strongly warn everyone against using the services of this very unprofessional person!
