In my apartment in Cambridge the inside glass of a thermopane fixed panel of a two-panel sliding glass door shattered in mid-July 2013. The sliding pane is intact. This unit was installed by Advanced Windows a few years ago as a replacement for an aging unit so I called them asking to have that part replaced. After two weeks I had heard nothing and called and they said they needed to get a quote. I said that the replacement is urgent and so please order it and send me the invoice. I called week after week and had great difficulty in getting a response from them. Finally on Aug 26 they informed me that it had arrived but did not attempt to install it until about 11 days later. On arriving at the site, they discovered that they had ordered the incorrect panel, which was their mistake. I have called and emailed since then but have had no response as to what they are doing. Very unsatisfactory. I will look on Angies list to find an alternate supplier.
