+ 0 moreHe did a fantastic job. He was professional, efficient and made great suggestions. He took measurements, and then assembled the shelves at his shop, then came and installed them.
Description of Work: He created some custom-made hanging bookshelves in my office. My walls are plaster, so I was worried that the shelves would fall down from the weight of all the books.

+ 0 moreExcellent. Dermot is a real craftsman. He came and took measurements, listened to what I wanted and then prepared the shelves at his workplace. He installed them in one day. They are exactly what I needed. If you want custom woodwork done without paying your firstborn child's college savings account, Dermot is your guy.
Description of Work: I needed a carpenter to design and build some hanging bookshelves and install them in a bedroom with plaster walls. I was worried that they would fall, since they would be heavy with books, so I wanted them done professionally. The first guy I tried was a handyman who suggested that I go to IKEA. I said I wanted real workmanship, not IKEA. Then finally, I found Dermot with DML Carpentry.

+ 3 moreDermot (DML Carpentry ) is an excellent custom finish woodworker, in addition to being a seasoned, general carpenter. He has long been ( over 15 years) our go-to provider for a wide array of home improvement projects including replacement (10) window installation, kitchen cabinet repair and storage/shelving solution design and reconfiguring bedroom closets for better function and storage. In a recent project, Dermot designed and built a custom laundry closet for space in our master bedroom. The paneled sides and doors were a perfect complement to the existing look and feel of the molding and other doors/windows of the room. DML always does a great job with design, price, cleanup, attitude and responsiveness to any requests we have. We have been referred to other contractors from friends and family, but DML is the one we go to FIRST.
Description of Work: Dermot designed and installed a large, custom laundry closet in the Master Bedroom.
