I am new to this neighborhood and have been to this store 3 times. The first time, no one offered to assist me, although the store did not appear to be particularly busy at that time. So I left. The next time I went in to buy some putty and ask them if they could cut 1/2 inch off my dowel, and they told me to make an appointment and come back another time for the dowel. Today I called first for an "appointment" and they sawed the dowel but unevenly. I pointed that out and was told they have no equipment other than a handsaw so they cannot fix it. That surprised me as in my experience most hardware stores have a jigsaw and also, they sell dowels/closet rods (but apparently cannot or do not cut them to size for customers). I told them I suppose I could get it fixed at Ace or elsewhere, and they told me I should go elsewhere to buy my floor cleaning products as well!!! So, again I left, astonished--each time I visited this store, my experience got worse. This is a place to avoid.
Description of Work: This is the local hardware store in Cleveland Circle. I needed a wooden rod / dowel cut to size. I also wanted to buy some floor cleaning products.

I had 4 dup keys made they used the improper blanks to duplicate even though they were coded correctly and the new key would never work. My apt was locked and I tried to used the 4 new keys and they did not work. I had no way to get in the apt so the next day the locksmith came and charged $108 to get me in the apt. Anyone could cut a key wrong but no excuse for using the wrong blank since their letter coded.
