Efficient Buildings is an Insulation and Weatherization company serving southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod. We offer home energy audits including blower-door testing and infrared diagnostics that will reveal your home's deficiencies. We provide a number of services that will address areas of concern, to maximize your home’s comfort and improve energy efficiency. We work with utility sponsored energy programs and may be able to help you obtain no-cost energy improvements.

Chris, Jean & Shawn did a great job.By the way, Shawn vacuumed the rug that was associated with the work. They where neat as a pin.

They were on time, called twice to confirm both beforehand and day of service. Cokbin and Jean were efficient and worked well together. They performed the services listed above and vacuumed when the job was completed. We are very pleased. This is the second time we’ve used Efficient Buildings and both insulation jobs went well.

"Cannot comment properly on this issue as this job was done over 2.5 years ago (July 2013) and this review is just now posted. There is nothing noted in the file about these problems either. They're excellent. The person who came and did the work, I would highly recommend him. He was very good. He's excellent. They have good customer service. They did a good work. I dealt with the lady in the office by email and she was excellent as well.

Worked with massasve to have insulation installed as well as various weather strips on doors/windows etc. Took a very long time to schedule. Once they came-they did some of the job and not all of the job and then continued to harass me for payment despite massave confirming that they did not complete the work. They could not provide an explanation about why the work was not finished and denied that I had spoken to Mass save or been advised by them. Additionally they were unprofessional and rude to deal with. Work with someone else who cares about the quality of their work and not just getting paid for something they didnt complete.

"Efficient Buildings contacted this customer to schedule an appointment within 5 days of receipt of the work order as is required by the utility sponsored program. Customers often do not understand that the delay between signing their contract and the actual scheduling of work is dictated by the program's extremely busy winter schedule and not under the control of the individual contractors. All work outlined on the work order was performed with the exception of 2 door weatherization kits. One door at the customer's home did not need a kit; the second could not be installed due to a problem with the door's latch. Our company has been paid by the utility for their portion; to date the customer has not paid their share balance."

Very knowledgable and experienced workers investigated a problem wall I had in my kitchen that was blowing in cold air from outside.
They scheduled the work quickly and arrived on time and finished the job in less than three hours.
Most companies would not come out for such a small job, but Efficient Buildings did the job with professionalism.
Now I have a nice warm wall with no cold air leaking in to my house and I think I will be saving a cartload in heating costs.
I wish I had more jobs for them to do, because these are people I am happy to do business with!

We found Efficient Buildings through the Mass Save Program. We participated in the insulation program. The people at Efficient Buildings were very accommodating in scheduling the work. They showed up on time and were very polite, organized and excellent at addressing all questions we had regarding the work - the guy in charge of the crew was knowledgeable and researched for us the best possible insulation and venting plan. We were very impressed with how diligent and thorough they were with their work.
About a month later Mass Save came out to review their work for the program and confirmed what an excellent job they did for us.

I called Mass Saves about there home heating inprovements program and after an inspection I found I qualified for a 2000.00 dicount. I applied this to the 3750 charge for the attic, walls, air sealing of doors, air sealing of attic door and studs in the basement. I ended up paying 1750 for all this work. They send two crews and had everything done in one day. All was done very professionaly and were very friendly. Worked with Brian Read to do the work. He did an excelent job.
