We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chris and Coneco to anyone considering a geothermal installation. This is what he does full-time and he has a network of subcontractors who have done numerous geothermal system with him. We benefited from their experience working together and with Chris. This was a major project for us, and Chris made sure that every detail went to plan -- he was extraordinarily thorough and concerned about details, managing costs, and ensuring that the system functions effectively and efficiently. From start to finish, he exceeded our expectations during the design and installation phases. Chris was on site during much of our installation -- checking in on the well drilling and trenching and HVAC and onsite nearly full-time during the electrical and commissioning. Anytime we had concerns, he either provided helpful a explanations to resolve our concern or he found a way to fix it -- emails or telephone calls were always responded to very quickly. The sub-contractors he brought in were all (with one exception) excellent, friendly, and careful to clean up with themselves. In our case, Skilling and Sons out of New Hampshire did the drilling. Flagship from the Cape handled trenching and landscape. And Paul from New England Refrigeration oversaw our HVAC install. Paul and his team, in particular, went out of their way to ensure that our complex retrofit went well -- they got ducts into places we never thought they could and with a high level of attention to detail. The electrician was our least favorite of the subs. As might be expected with a retrofit, there were some surprises as the process moved forward -- challenges running ducts, conduit, etc. Some of these surprises resulted in some additional costs, most of which Coneco absorbed, rather than passing along small charges once the project was underway. That is to say we thought Chris and Coneco were fair in their contract and billing. At this point, our system has been running for approximately a month. Since it is late summer, we've been using it for a/c on the hot days, and it is performing as expected. So this review is based upon our experiences with Chris in the design and installation phase. I'll try and remember to update this review next spring, after we've been through a winter with our geothermal system. Overall, we highly recommend Chris. On top of his expertise and professionalism, he is also a really nice guy. Considering that getting a geothermal system installed takes many month, that becomes really important too!
