The gravel was delivered on time as agreed. The dumping mechanism of the truck malfunctioned and the driver of the dump truck was inexperienced. The mechanism refused to release properly so a hill approximately 4 feet high was dumped at the initial site. The driver called his office to report the malfunction and was told that that truck was known to malfundtion in that way. The driver apologized but did not try to correct the mistake. The driver was inexperienced and the rest of the load was let out unevenly so that some areas of the driveway were thick with gravel and other areas were bare. I have had gravel delivered from other companies in the past with excellent service. Three calls to the compay to request levelling of the initial hill and evening of the gravel were not returned, returned late, ror esponded to but with no result. At one time the company mentioned charging me to respread the gravel. I am a single woman, retired, and could spread the gravel only with great difficulty. The 4 foot hill of gravel prevented my parking the car in the spot closest to the house for ease in carrying groceries into the house. Other lumpy hills made it difficult to navigate the circular drive. The driver and the office personnel were consistently polite, but the company should not advertise its services to individuals but only to large companiew with personnel able to deal with such spotty service.
