Tom and his team did a wonderful job on our hardwood floor refinishing project. They were professional, punctual, and the price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

They did a great job! In one weekend they came in and redid everything. We had to do a few touchups on the moulding, but much less than I was expecting, and Tom did warn me about that ahead of time. Tom and I communicated via email, and he was on time and on budget. He sanded and refinished the living room, dining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms and stairs (approx 1,500 sq feet), stained and sealed the floors with 3 coats, and added a satin finish. On team, easy, and great!

They were excellent, task was done exactly as described.

Tom was great and amazingly responsive. Came out to do the estimate the same day I called. His employees showed up and got right to work. the only reason they did not receive an A in the professionalism category is the employees were shirtless during most of the job. Which was not at all an issue. There was no one in the building besides myself anyway and it was mid summer with no A/C!!!. There was a decent amount of dust from the sander left behind but lets be reasonable, to expect them to get every last bit up before they leave isn't a reasonable expectation. they did an amazing job on the floor. the room is a nursery and when it was back in session I had parents asking if I had remodeled the room. while I would have loved to take credit, it all goes to Tom and the guys at "Damien Hardwood Flooring" we will be using them again

Company was very responsive during bid process.  Crew arrived on time and completed the work in one day for two bedrooms.  They tried to secure the floor where it was squeaking without success.  Maybe they didn't have long enough nails or needed a tool to find the subfloor supports.  They filled in some cracks and the nail head holes with putty without being asked, but left others of same size gaping open.  The overall job was very good.  They did fail to say in advance they would need to come back another day to apply the second coat of urethane.  Preparing a handout to give potential clients to explain this might help.  They sent some one on Independence Day so I wouldn't have to wait an additional two days for drying and to be able to move things back into the room.  Overall this was excellent service.  I am going to use them again very soon!

The floors came out perfect! They did a great job. They worked quickly and were done within a few days. They worked around our schedule and even worked during Christmas week to get the floors done. Will definitely contact them when the floors need to be redone!

I've been working with them for several years. They're very competitively priced. They're really great to deal with. They're on time. Their response to communication is great. The owner, Tom, is just lovely. I like them a lot.

Damien did great work! I saw the positive reviews on here and was happy with the estimate Tom provided, so I went with them based on that. I was a little nervous about what to expect, but couldn't have been happier. Tom is responsive and his staff were professional. The floors came out beautifully with very little dust. I would absolutely call them again and recommend to friends.

They were good. I thought they did an outstanding job. There was little bit of a communication issue about when they were going to be here but that was kind of a misunderstanding. The finished product was wonderful. It certainly wasn't dustless and I don't remember if that was one of the things that they claimed or not but every vertical surface has dust attached to it, but that's the nature of the work. But, I was extremely pleased with the outcome.

It went great, they showed up on time, were efficient and finished sooner that anticipated.  Polite and professional.

Perfect service - prompt with estimate and followed through exactly as they said.  Took 2 days for 3 coats of finish.  result was spectacular - preserved character of aged hardwood floors but now has a protective coating that is beautiful.  Best of all, NO DUST!

Process took 2 days-Sanding, stain, and first seal coat on first day, returned after 24 hours to put on 2nd sealer coat.
Cleaned up areas so no additional work required on my account.

Tom Le was able to schedule a time to review the job without much delay.  During the review, he was very focused on exactly what needed to be done to refinished (restore) the wide floors throughout the house.  He offered advice on stain selections taking account of pine not absorbing stain as well as other woods and the condition of some the floors.
Existing Conditions:
There are a few locations where old holes/posts had left behind so very unusual divits & warping of the floors.  Other spots where there used to be walls dividing the currently open room, leaving the floors with a non-uniformed pattern.  The wood upstairs was slightly different than the floors downstairs.  Thresholds were beat up and no longer necessary as the doors were removed in two locations.  All around there were a number of places with heavy gouges and circular dents from chairs/couches/tables.
Current Conditions:
The floors look like they were just installed.  Thresholds that were bulky and out of place are now flush with the floor and matched perfectly.  The slight step up to the kitchen was redone and fits like it was installed that way.  The old hole spot Tom replaced the board and made it look amazing.  He fixed some of the loose boards (I don't know how he did it), re-covered the old nail divits.  They look truely great, we've had multiple friends, family, other tradesman come in the house since and every single one comments on the floors.
The floors needed a lot of love.  It was the finishing touch to really take the semi-dumpy fixer upper and make it look fresh & new.  Tom is a magician with floors.  

We were very impressed with them. The price included a 10% discount from Angie's List which was very nice. I thought they were very professional from A to Z. The price was good and they were kind of "Johnny on the spot" coming out to give us an estimate. They delivered the wood when they said and came two days after that. We had a very, very, small window because we were just moving in and needed it done and because it was a holiday weekend the people who were going to deliver the wood said that they wouldn't so they scrambled around and found another provider to deliver it in time. The workmanship was just phenomenal and the fit and finish was really great. I think they did the whole job in a day and a half, so they were quick. The only downside was that it's a messy job and there was a lot of sawdust. They didn't leave a mess, but that was the only thing kind of following up in that we did have to do some extra clean up. They did the job well.

Tom was terrific to deal with, came on time and gave a quote, and adjusted his schedule based on our needs.  The floors came out terrific, my wife and I were very pleased.  The only issue I had at all is they came just past 7 on a Saturday, and then when we didn't answer the door fast enough, took off for their next job and we didn't see them until about 5pm that night. 
We would definitely use them again, we especially love supporting local and quality businesses, and we've already recommended them to our new next door neighbors who need their floors redone.   All we had to do was show them the work and they were sold!!!

Love working with Tom. They are quick, efficient, clean up after. Show up on time and do a good job. You need to make sure you tell Tom exactly what you need, he takes care of his clients and he is great to work with. Already did 3 different projects with them and will use them in the future.

This company was hired by our contractor for the flooring portion of our kitchen/main floor remodel. We knew it was a big job and would encompass sanding and refinishing over 1,000 sq ft (including deep grooves between boards) in addition to matching the existing flooring down a hallway and entry way. Stairs and a landing were also included. From the beginning, the flooring delayed the project. The long order time created one week of "down" time where no other work could be performed. Once it finally arrived the wrong size boards were delivered. This further delayed the project while we waited for more flooring, which somehow made it to our home in one day this time (instead of the 3.5 weeks it took originally). Once the work started, however, we were optimistic. The patch work was meticulous and workmanship excellent. The transition from the old to the new was flawless. They somehow managed to hand sand almost 1,000 sq ft, getting each groove free and clear of the old stain and poly. Things were looking good! Then they applied the stain and poly... The attention to detail was lacking, to say the least. There were obvious "swirl" marks on both the new and old portions of the floor, especially highlighted by the darker stain. The stain was unevenly applied with large, noticeable splotches though out but particularly around the edges. There were poly drips in prominent spots. After vacating our house for 4 days (Thanksgiving week) so this work could be complete we were, understandably, frustrated. They returned a couple of days later to "fix" the problem but actually made it worse. Attempt three was somewhat more successful but was now being done while our family was attempting to live around it and our other workers trying to complete our kitchen. As a result, there are spots that are still unsatisfactory (including a boot mark, uneven poly application, and swirl marks that remain). In the end, one of our contractors workers attempted a final fix but the end product still doesn't match the rest of the work. We've chosen to live with the imperfections, but the quality of this work doesn't match the rest of the work done on our house. I've had two people so far ask who we used for flooring and I've unequivocally told them not to use this company. I understand from our contractor that this is the first problem he's had with this company. Essentially, I think the scope of our project created a situation where they were rushing to finish. They were doing a lot of the work in the dark and weren't able to see the product they were producing. There is a big communication barrier as well since most of the crew does not speak English, which makes it challenging to problem solve. Overall, those who have seen our remodel love the floor. Unfortunately, our eyes are still drawn to the problems and likely always will be.

Tom Le and his men are consummate professionals.  We found them to be a methodical, systematic, no-fuss-no-mess group.  They removed strips of carpeting in small, manageable pieces, and laid out the junk carpeting outside the home to catch sawdust from wood trimming and cutting, and prevented them from dragging in dirt from outside.  They kept wood wastage to a minimum; well below the extra 10% we had ordered, enabling us to return two boxes of unopened planks to the dealer.  They completed the work in two days just as estimated.  They worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up after themselves, and helped us rearrange the furniture.  

It was a pleasure doing with business with Damien, and we would recommend them to anyone.
