Dave was quick to respond to our message. He arrived on time and was very professional. He did a good job of explaining the options along with the pros and cons of each fix. Dave tidied up nicely after he was done. The new pipes fixed the problem and it looks like he did a very good job (we aren't experts and couldn't tell you if something could have been done differently).
All in all we were very pleased with his response and his work, and we recommend him.
I was hearing the sounds of the pipes whaling while I turned on the water in my home. Dave came over looked it over and saw the pressure was very high coming into the home. He adjusted the regulator and lowered the pressure so it wouldn't make the sound. But the part was older and I thought it should be replaced after we talked. He came back and took care of the issue. Quickly and was a reasonable priced. This is the four time I have used him since I moved in in Feb. 13'. He was awesome as usual. Can't recommend him enough. He is the guy. Thanks Dave.
He ran out of the color tubing he came with so he had to switch colors. I contacted him to say I was not happy afterwards with this and he offered to switch it out but has never done so. I guess blue tubing running all over your basement and then switching to another color might not be a small issue for some but it is a little annoying to me. Nothing I lose sleep over, however.
"I will still gladly change pipe. And I still need to get an inspection. [member name removed] is suppose to contact me to schedule work and inspection as we discussed."
I heard a leaky sound all of a sudden from the bathroom one day. I went in and could see that the toilet was running. I called and asked Dave if he could come over on a Saturday so I didn't have to take time from work to let him in. He said yes and when he came went to work. It was not a long project but the part that bobs up and stops the filling of the tank. He did it with great work and timing. I appreciate it and say if you need work done call him. I also picked his brain on a town water issue and got great information. Thanks Dave.
When the gas stove was pushed back into place, it didn't push back as close as it could to the wall because of the way the old existing pipe, new gas shut off valve and the cut out in the back of the new stove lined up. After thinking about it a few days, I asked Dave to come back and change the way the old pipe came out of the wall so that we could get the gas stove back closer to the wall. He returned in a day or two, cut a hole in the wall and set the pipe and valve back in the wall. He charged a very reasonable revisit fee.
He asked if he could call me back as he had to check his schedule. He was very prompt and called back quickly to let me know he could come about noon. He sounded concerned it wasn't early enough for me but after New England winters where I can be without water for a week, 16 hours without water wasn't going to kill me.
Dave called at about 10:30 to let me know that he would be sending over another plumber to work on the pipe for me. The other plumber's name was Dave as well.
He arrived on time and came in to have a look at the affected pipe. He assured me that the previous owner's rigging wasn't horrendous and gave me some ideas to secure the water meter better. He asked if he should come in through the basement door. He was in and out of the basement in about 45 minutes.
I asked him if he could have a look at the pipes under the kitchen sink where we have a drip between the tailpipe and the p-trap. He had a look and said he could fix it easily. It didn't turn out to be the easiest job. That may have taken another 45 minutes.
He cleaned up after himself and was an all around lovely person.
