NEW Review and Update:
Back in 2013, I used Angie?s list to aid me in locating a new Dentist, and found Boylston Dental Associates operated by Dr. John Scanlon (DMD) at the time, and I am very satisfied with the Dental Care I've received there. Approximately a year ago 2014, Dr. Scanlon decided to retire, and the Practice was acquired by Dr. John J. Millette (DMD PC DBA), a Tufts University Dental School Graduate, with over a decade of patient dental care experience. On Dr. Millette?s first day of transition into taking over Boylston Dental Associates from Dr. Scanlon, I was very fortunate to be his very first patient to have a cap (crown) to replace a broken filling, and was amazed at the New Dental Technology experience he has brought and implemented at Boylston Dental Associates. In my past experience, having a number of caps (crowns) and fillings at other dentists, amalgam was used mostly in all fillings, and a cap (crown) replacement took a minimum of two weeks (to have a porcelain, or metal cap or crown sent out to be made elsewhere), now at Boylston Dental Associates a cap or crown can be done in a day, approximately 2 hours for the crown prep, Digital Computer modeling and installation (all in the office), and no amalgam is used. I continue to be very satisfied with the care I have received there since Dr. Millette has taken over, which has included: exams, digital X-rays, cleanings, fillings, and two caps or crowns. Dr. Millette has incorporated into the practice a number of other Dental Associates, who administer dental care as well, as appointments are needed and available, such as Dr. Jonita Pishtari (DMD) also a Graduate of Tufts University Dental School. From what I can see, it appears that few staff changes if any have taken place, since Dr. Millette has taken over, from the front office (front desk), to the most excellent care given by the Dental Hygienist, Andrea Kaufman (RDH). In my last visit to have cap (crown) installed, it was not done by Dr. Millette, but by Dr. Carolyn Schweitzer (DDS) and Dental Assistant Lisa Johnson (an excellent Dental care team, in my opinion) who administered the Novocain shot, I needed, painlessly. The procedure for this latest crown and minor filling was approximately 2 hours to complete, and is the second one I have had done there, with the same experience. I have another appointment scheduled in August 2015, to have a broken crown (from a former Dentist) replaced by Dr. Schweitzer, and have every expectation that I will continue to be very pleased with the Dental Care I will receive. Over the entire period that I have had Dental Care received by Boylston Dental Associates, I have not had any problems with Boylston Dental Coordinating benefits with my Medical & Dental insurance companies. I continue to recommend the Boylston Dental Associates to any one looking for a Dentist, and personally still rate the practice an A+.Licensing
