After using Jeff and his team on our kitchen remodel we knew he was the only one to do the major remodel of our guest and master bath. His attention to detail is extraordinary. The master was a major "strip to the studs" project. Gone is the seldom used jetted tub and hello to the walk in shower. If you want quick and cheap go somewhere else. If you want excellent quality at a reasonable price look no further.

Jeff exceeded expectations before and during the project. For the quote he was the most prepared and did the most thorough walk thru to compile the estimate. From the first day he instilled a level of confidence that the project would be done to the highest quality standards. I had the cabinets delivered before the job began. Jeff called and offered to come over, unpack, and inspect every cabinet. Never expected this. We spent 3 hours and found a couple of doors that needed to be remade. His commitment to avoid delays blew me away. The job included a complete kitchen gut as well as replacing the tile floor in the adjacent powder room and laundry room. Jeff did a great job managing the dust and vacuumed at the end of each day. The completed project transformed our kitchen from "builder grade" to showroom quality. Jeff's professionalism, commitment to quality, and sense of humor made for a great experience. I highly recommend him and plan on using him again in the future.

Jeff came out fairly soon after I contacted him and gave me an honest assessment of the work that would be required, and cost per window. When he came to do the work, it took roughly the amount of time he had estimated, and he did some extra work such as fixing a gutter and some siding that was not part of the job.

I would hire them in a hart beat. They were great. They do good quality work in a fair price. they were trustworthy in handling of the money.

I am very please with them. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I'm very fond of the two man team, they do great work and I trust them explicitly.

The project went very well. They took great attention to detail to make sure everything from top to bottom was done the way I wanted it done. I have no complaints about their work. Their pricing is on the high side but you do get quality work. I would hire them again and have recommended them to a number of friends.

This was my first time ever hiring a contractor. Jeff had great reviews, actually answered his phone, and was reasonably priced. The project was worked in a timely manner. Jeff was very easy to get a hold of and easy to talk with. He always kept me updated on the project and gave me realistic tips and suggestions. Ralph, his carpenter, did great quality work that was worth every penny. Even though there was a hiccup with the kitchen design (mine and my designer's fault), the work went very well. Jeff reassured me he'd take care of it. He helped me figure out a solution for a fridge that wouldn't initially fit. They re-built a wall, floor, and cabinet as soon as we had materials to get my kitchen up and running quickly.

Ralph was the contractor that came to my house to complete the job and he was AMAZING!! He was pleasant and friendly. He completed the project in a timely manner and everything was done to perfection. JL White Woodworking is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I will definitely use JL White Woodworking in the future.

Jeff and his employee Ralph were always on time showing up for work every morning, clean up after themselves and took care of the debris left from the job. The work went slow because of the inspectors schedule but the contractor was very detail on everything, he found a few problems inside the walls of the shower and he fixed them very good. For the extra work that I asked to have done in the attic and the outside of the house was very well done.

From start to finish the project went beyond my expectations. To start with Jeff answered my initial phone call which I was not getting from other contractors. Met with me a week later and had a very reasonable quote to me less than a week after that. We kind of had an unrealistic time frame to do the work in but Jeff said he could get it done. His crew was so professional and friendly, and always showed up right on time everyday. The subcontractors were also very good. The flooring guys from Celtic hardwood flooring were very knowledgeable and did such a great job. But I have to say that the thing I was most impressed with was that at the end of the project when the final payment was due Jeff went through the contract and actually deducted money for things that cost less than originally quoted, which shows he is a truly honest contractor.

Home that was built in approximately 1911, refurbished in 2005, needed cement composite siding repair, rotting wooden trim replaced, and front step ballisters (sp?) replaced.  We were also seeking to install a new window seat in a turret.  Mr. White responded to my email fairly promptly and visited my house to discuss the project.  After discussing each area, I received a quote for the repair, replacement, and installation of approximately $2380 for the balusters, $700 for the siding and trim, and $2005 for the window seat.  During the work, I asked for repair of additional corner boards (trim) and some siding in the front that we had not discussed and also asked for painting of the siding.  I am a relative novice at contracting and did not ask for an updated estimate because I figured if the work was substantially more than originally requested I would be given a heads up.  The original siding repair request for the back was estimated at $700, so I figured the siding repair in front of my house was not a substantial expense.  In fact, I had done some repair myself previously and found it to be reasonable.
 
There was a point at which one of the workers and Mr. White said I hadn't discussed part of the siding in the back, though I pointed out I had spoken to the owner and gotten an estimate on it, the work needed was obvious and in the same location of the repair they had just done.  I received no updated estimate or further statement from Mr. White (he provided the original estimate).  I also received no information or update on the extra trim boards I asked to have replaced.  On November 17, I received the bill for the balusters and siding consistent with the estimate.  Noted generally as additional work for siding and trim boards and painting, however, was an additional amount of $2,585 for labor and $270 for parts.  This is more than 3x the estimate for siding and trim previously provided, which surprised me very much.  The total cost was more than double the entire first estimate, but without the installation of the window seat.  It was an unpleasant surprise for sure, and I expect my being inexperienced in working with contractors or the cost of home repair plays a role in my surprise.  As I noted to Mr. White when I paid, he is an experienced contractor who knows this business far better than me.  I would have benefited from at least some communication that the costs were anticipated to be much more than expected.
The quality of the work was mostly good.  The front balusters look great.  The siding work also looks good to me.  There was one very small piece of siding that wasn't repaired, and there is one rough spots that I will touch up at some point, and I have to see about cleaning off what looks like some spilled paint or something.  Mr. White is very pleasant, as are his workers, and they worked diligently, and I appreciated their work.

We are only part of the way through the first bathroom and I couldn't be happier. Jeff and his team are top notch. They show up on time, accomplish everything they can in a day and leave the place spotless. Jeff stays in communication via text, email and calls to make sure I know what is happening everyday, and to check on my preferences if there are decisions to be made. He was extremely helpful in the original decision-making process when I had to decide on which tub, which shower, etc.
Jeff pulled all necessary permits and all inspections will be made so I am confident going forward that there will be no issues when it's time to sell!!!   I recommend JL White Woodworking whole heartedly.

All renovation and finish work was first class as well as interaction with Jeff White and his renovation crew.
