+ 1 moreThey are great, they are absolutely excellent. They are very professional, they are perfectionists, they fix things for me, like they found that a piece of edging was missing around the mop boards, it was just a tiny thing but they made a piece and fitted in. So they really do have an eye for detail. They saw that I needed a hand rail on steps going from the basement to the outdoors so they installed a hand rail there for me. I asked them to watch out for anything throughout the house as they were working, to let me know. While they were here they took care of a lot of things. They were really good. Actually I am going to use them for a bathroom remodel.
Description of Work: I had Dwyer & Novack Construction to turn out a bathroom into a laundry room. I have also used them for a ton of things around here.

+ 0 moreTheir personal work, and the work of the subcontractors they chose, was excellent. Their focus was to meet our expections. And they did that plus more. They were available to meet with us at times convenient to us, made modifications as requested, and made great suggestions that enhanced the design of the rebuild. While not the lowest bid, their commitment to quality and meeting expectations, far outweighed the additional cost. On move in date, they asked us to keep a punch list of things that came up...and nothing did! They are professional, responsive, and all around superb.
Description of Work: In March 2008 50% of our house burned to the ground. It was an antique, and only the oldest part was left standing. I chose John and Scott to rebuild the portion that had burned, and remodel the portion that was existing.

+ 0 moreJohn and Scott helped us pick some very handsome composite decking and railing (these materials are excellent, but cost more and hence, our deck cost more). They dug holes in the pouring rain and always let us know when they would be here and what they were hoping to get done. (We 've had a lot of rain this summer and rain and power tools do not mix! So that slowed things down.) They were respectful of our home and left our yard spotless. We had to work through whether or not to wrap the deck around a tree and how best to make it accessible for my wheelchair. John and Scott listened carefully and gave us their honest and thoughtful opinion. I was always happy to hear the metallic snap of their measuring tapes and their double-checking for things being plumb, etc. Our deck is beautiful and I couldn't be happier with their work and the materials they guided us to. We hope to hire them again soon (but realistically a couple of years from now for a kitchen remodel.
Description of Work: John Dwyer and Scott Novack dug post holes for, framed and finished a 12' by 33' deck. They also helped us select the materials that would best suit our lifestyle (low maintenance) and helped us understand and make multiple decisions about issues as they arose.
