Ed does tremendous work when you can get him. I have no issues with the quality of his work. The only issue I have is getting a hold of him. He was supposed to come back on the first rainy day to finish some interior painting and I have not heard from him. That was July and it is now the end of September. I believe we have had several rainy days in the last 2+ months.

Ed's a first rate guy with a solid work ethic and a passion for quality work. Every experience I've had with him has always
been the same. Connect via phone (usually leave a message - he'll call back). Establish a time for him to examine the area
(he always shows up). He puts you on his schedule - and barring extenuating circumstances, he shows up when he says
he'll be there - he'll call if he can't make it.
Communication is good and reliable.
Work - he usually works alone, but recently he's been getting popular so he has had to hire guys to help. This bothers
him because he likes to make sure he puts his personal stamp on everything that gets his name. This is getting harder
for him to do. That said - he is always monitoring the jobs he takes on, even when other guys/folk are doing the
majority of the work. I feel confident that if Ed's taken the job, the task will be completed to his satisfaction or he'll
redo the whole thing to make sure of it.

I have no problems whatsoever with the quality of work, and in fact got an estimate for many other things we wanted done in our house. This is where the responsiveness problem started. Initially we were told he would have time to do the job at the end of that year, but he never contacted us. We tried calling him and left a half dozen messages over a several month period. We never heard back from him to say he was busy or anything, just no response.
So if you can get him to return your calls, he did excellent work at very fair prices. Getting the call back is the trick, unfortunately.

If you need a painter and a carpenter .. Ed Baro and his team, will not only paint to PERFECTION --but Ed can repair every aspect of your home. He repaired and painted interior and exterior of my house - so completely, it's almost too much to list .. Pretty much top to bottom. I was horrified to see the rotted wood he was pulling off - stuff I never even saw .. then the new wood. primed, replaced and painted. Things he probably could have painted over but he went to great lengths to ensure it was done "right". Asking me every step of the way what I would like to do ..so No surprises.
-- On the exterior work they chalk EVERYTHING ..sealing up nice and tight against the elements before priming and painting.
-- Ed told me a TON of things I can easily and cheaply fix myself over time, and numerous preventative measures I can take.
-- His foreman Rick, has years and years of precision painting experience having learned "old school" from the best.
Ed will answer your call and/or return your call immediately. I shopped around finding his rates to be fantastic in comparison - especially when you see the level of professionalism and what they are capable of doing without having to hire out.
My neighbors actually came over to ask who the company was ( The Handy Painter, Co ) because they are so neat, professional and saw how they were here all day, starting early am, barely breaking for lunch. They cleaned up spotlessly every day.. putting everything neatly away --even though it would need to be hauled out again the next day !
> Ed will email you his rates as soon as he speaks with you
> He will give you an extremely detailed proposal of the work you and he discussed and the estimate of labor/material
> Then upon starting the work, give you a contract, that lists - down to the smallest detail -- the work to be done -- and then set up the payment plan --for start, mid, and final payment
Customers love them, so if you think you need something done; painting, carpentry, doors/windows, plastering/drywall etc- call asap. Whatever Ed is working on he is completely devoted to until it is completely and perfectly finished, so he can sometimes have a list of people in line for work they need done. ( He can let you know ) I can not say enough about this company. I am telling everyone. I am happy to speak with you in person. ...I am so proud of my house now.. And come this winter, I know now my home will be sealed up tight against the elements.
