I do not recommend Tufts Dental School. A lot of unnecessary pain and stress as well as many hours lost to end up having to go somewhere else to redo the work and fix further damage caused at Tufts. Thousands of dollars lost! Do not come to Tufts Dental School!

Terrible, The faculty advisor for the student refused to allow the student to do the root Canal. Despite my primary dentist being willing to restore the tooth, the Tufts dentist only wanted it pulled. I walked out

It's a long appointment. It's a teaching appointment so I have to put a lot of time with that. Even though they give very good service and the prices are very, very good, I have to pay in time. The effectiveness of treatment varies from student to student. I have the time to pay as opposed to the money so I don't mind being part of that process.

I had an infection in an upper molar. I'd had negative experiences
with a general dentist and an endodontist who
couldn't solve my problem or even correctly diagnose it.  Because my
dear departed dad was a Tufts-graduate dentist, I went to Tufts faculty
practice for an evaluation from endodontist Dr. Kerith Rankin.  (The faculty practice isn't
the regular school practice. It's staffed by experienced dentists who
teach in the school. Prices are similar to any dentists' offices, I think.)
I was able to get an appointment quickly.  Dr Rankin's "bedside personality"
was great -- first time I've laughed in a dental office.  Turns out my
previous endodontist had done a needless root canal, thinking the first one
had failed.  Then the same dentist had wanted to cut a hole in my gum  to
go in and saw off  the tip of the tooth's root then fill it from the inside, thinking
that would solve my infection problem.  That's when I went for another opinion.
Dr. Rankin sent me for a 3D xray at Tufts.  That told the real story:
The root had a fracture, with no way to fix it.  I'd already spent
$1500 after insurance on a needless
re-root canal and was told I should spend more for a surely painful
operation to saw off the root tip.  Thanks to Dr. Rankin, I know the
real picture: the tooth can't be saved.
I'm sad about having to lose the tooth, but very glad
I didn't have a hole cut in my gum and spend much more money all
needlessly to save a tooth that couldn't be saved.  Tufts has equipment
that many dentists don't, I think -- like the 3D xray machine.  And at least one dentist
who knows how to use it.  I highly recommend Tuft's faculty practice. I don't have
experience with the school practice, but after I lose my Cobra dental insurance,
I may try it.

My husband liked them as well. They were able to get me in right away and they set everything up. They are always nice and they are good with checking up with me. They do a good job and they definitely take their time. Sometimes there is a problem with the billing though.

An appointment would take a long time because it's a school so you have to wait. It's not like going in and coming out as you would into a regular dentist however I'm pleased with the service.

I have been going there for about 15 years. They've done implants for me, a lot of cleaning, extraction, dental work, everything. The students do it under supervision and the price is 30 or 40 percent less.

I like them because I feel like I can trust them because they are a dental school. I think they are fair, they have a good price, and they are very nice. They do a good job. It takes longer to get in, because you are going to a dental school. It also takes longer to do the work. The office environment is very pleasant. It is clean, neat and easy to get to. They are very punctual, and you come whenever your appointment is. I have always had good experiences.

They are really great and they can always get you in right away. They really make sure their patients are satisfied. They have great pricing and really are good about explaining everything in terms of what they will do with treatment, and how it breaks down for you based on pricing.

They once got me in right away for a toothache that was just unbearable when my other dentist could not get me in for a few days. When they got me in the realized the only real way to relieve the pain was through a root canal. They did a root canal for me the very same day and I felt so much better afterward. I have never before heard of anyone being able to get you in the same day and perform a root canal.

I live 60 miles away and I would drive to them anytime because of the amazing service that you get, and the way that they have gone above and beyond for me in the past.

They are dealing with students there for the most part so the train their people. But on the downside it takes longer than the regular dentist would. They are very careful and much cheaper than the regular dentist. Obviously, some students are more capable than others. I have dealt with several students there being assigned to me for tooth cleanings or just general fillings or whatever. Some of them had seen more way but others and most cases you had to take care of yourself because these people are fresh out of Dental School. They are kind of awkward when it comes to dealing with patients because they are not used to them.

It went ok. They are half price since they are a school. They have all the best equipment. The professors watch over them. It was close to my home. They are super nice.

My appointments with Dr. Sadi went very well, as has been the case with every appointment which I had with her since she became my dentist almost 4 years ago. She is very professional to work with, she shows sensitivity and concern towards the patient, she communicates very well and explains the treatments which are needed, etc. I have a great deal of confidence in her ability and professionalism.

The most recent appointment concluded a 3 step treatment process in which she restored a tooth by placing a crown on it. The 12/27 appointment was the final appointment during which she installed the permanent crown. The work went very well and was completed quickly and painlessly.
I have been very pleased with the dental treatment which I have received at Tufts Dental School over the past four years. All my dental treatments have been done in the graduate departments of the school (General Practices Residency dept., Periodontal dept., Othodontics Dept.). Their dentists have been excellent and the treatments have been very satisfactory. I have not had any experience in the undergraduate division of the Dental School, so I cannot comment on their services.
I do recommend Dr. Hana Sadi of Tufts Dental School, based on my extensive experience of receiving dental treatments from her. She is, in my opinion, an excellent dentist.

I would recommend them. I would give them a very good rating. Availability is a B; I have to plan it out. Punctuality is an A; they are very strict about that. Sometimes the communication isn't that great.

Their work is excellent. They are probably the best equipped dental school in the country, and all of their students are supervised by experienced dentists. I have no dental insurance, so I have to pay out of pocket. Their prices are very good. I recently had to have a dental implant done, and they did an excellent job of it. It cost me 30% less than what it would have cost normally with a private practice. I would continue to use them in the future.

I have been going to them for 6 years now. They do a very high quality work. Their price is very cheap. They take all insurances. It is probably a little bit slower than if you went to a dentist because usually it is graduate students who do it and they have to wait for the instructor to come for proof work. If you need to have a dental work done, it is definitely a good deal. They do have emergency services. Office environment is pleasant. I would continue to use them again in the future too.

I was assigned to Dr. Mohammed Alasqah, a Tufts dental graduate student specializing in periodontics. He is exceptionally nice and very thorough - I have total confidence in him. He scheduled me for 2 sessions, one for upper gums, one for lower. (I could have done both in one session but I have trouble keeping my mouth open that long.) I received novocaine for both appointments. He showed me a new way of brushing and flossing my gums and booked a follow-up to see if I was doing the self-care adequately. After the cleanings a superviser came and checked on his work - thumbs up. I'm happy to report my gums are MUCH healthier now! I plan to go to Tufts for all my dental care from now on.

Like any dental school, you save about a third of your bill. They are good and the students are supervised by a professor that is sitting there. It takes a lot of time.

I see a student, usually a senior, for about 6 months before they graduate. After this period they graduate and I become under the care of another student. Its a lot less expensive and honor the insurance contract. I don't find any disadvantage to going and seeing them. I would use them again in the future.

The experience has been great. My teeth look great. When I go in there they explain things and make sure I understand what is going on. I will continue to go there in the future.
