Excellent and very informative

He fixed it but he charged me $240 dollars, even though I had an Angie's List deal for $175. That is bait and switch. Even though he did fix the problem, which took about 5-10 minutes, I am angry that he would not honor my coupon. I realize that he has to travel to get here from Brookline, which likely took about 20-25 minutes, but to charge more than the deal I contracted him for is unprofessional.

Quick Response Electrical Service did a panel upgrade at my house to upgrade my electrical service from 100 to 200 amps. Throughout the process, Claudio and his crew were on-time and professional. They communicated clearly and completely with my wife and me so we were comfortable with everything they would do as part of the job. All of the work was done promptly, professionally, and completely. Claudio was extremely professional, and demonstrated great attention to the quality of his work. I am truly impressed with Claudio’s work, and I will definitely use Quick Response Electrical Service again in the future for my electrical needs.

Installation of new eclectic panel

The service was impressive. I received a quick call back when I submitted my request for a quote. Claudio came the next day at the appointed time. He saw the repair as a quick job and offered to do it on the spot. Unfortunately, the replacement parts that I had purchased did not fit. Claudio offered to research what I needed and order it for me. He got back to me the next day and had found what I needed so I asked him to go ahead and order. He did, the parts came in a few days later. He called me to come back and install the parts and the entire job was completed within one week of my request. This is the best customer service I've ever received. I will definitely call him again.

Claudio has assisted me twice with smoke detectors and also recently installed some new light fixtures. I am impressed by his reliability. He shows up when he says he will, including early in the morning after taking a long international flight. Aside from being an excellent electrician, he is also very personable and easy to work with.

Quick response electric was a pleasure to work with. The job included installation of recessed lighting in my home, addition of new outlets, and installation of a driveway lamp-post. Claudio was an expert and craftsman and did all work with utmost care. He was also professional, prompt, and just a good guy to work with.

We needed him early on a Saturday morning. Old, ripped wiring combined with a leaky faucet caused an explosion under my kitchen counter. It was smoky and dangerous. It blew out all our fuses, and destroyed wires. Claudio arrived within 10 minutes, and took control of everything. He got the electricity back on, secured the wires for safety, and shut the water off in the kitchen. This stopped the leak in the sink while he assessed the situation. He fixed our problems by moving, updating, adding and rewiring everything we needed within an hour from start to finish. He didn't rush at all. He's just really good at his job. The price for his service was very reasonable for an emergency on the weekend. I live in an apartment, so I was concerned about an electrical fire causing problems for myself and neighbors, but I can happily tell you that Claudio made sure that didn't happen. We are having our sink repaired on Tuesday, so we just have the water shut off in the kitchen sink only. If only my plumber we as competent and wonderful as Claudio...... *sigh*. I have plans of hiring Claudio to do non emergency projects in my kitchen and bathroom. If you need something important done, I'd say hire him!!!!!!!! I am so happy I found Quick Response Electrical through Angie's List. Claudio responded quickly to my message and was here the very next day to fix the problem. I also really appreciated the time he took to answer all my questions about our old fuse box. We definitely plan on having him return and convert/upgrade our electrical system to circuit breakers. I highly recommend Quick Response if you're looking for an experienced, professional electrician.

Bottom line: Technically adequate service but an extremely unpleasant person. I would not hire him again. ---I had asked Claudio to inspect and repair five outdoor, motion-activated light fixtures. He responded quickly to my call and was able to come the next day; his wife also called to confirm the appointment and was polite and friendly...so far so good. Unfortunately, after briefly assessing the existing lights and determining that most of them just needed new bulbs, Claudio immediately started pressuring me to buy entirely new fixtures at a minimum cost of $175 each, he said. I declined to buy new lamps and told him I preferred just to change bulbs and reset switches as needed for now. He was clearly displeased at my not taking his advice, lectured me angrily about how he couldn't guarantee work on an older fixture and continued to try to get me to buy new rather than repair. Eventually, he went and got new bulbs, replaced them while sulking visibly, reset the switches and left in a bit of a huff. I paid $293.00 for replacing five sets of bulbs and resetting sensor switches. That night, I noticed that one of the lamps (that had previously been okay but needed one of two bulbs switched out) was not working and left messages by phone and email, asking him to return to check it again. He did come back the next day but manifested a very negative attitude, complaining that he dislikes "people who accuse me of breaking things" (which was not the case at all), pressuring me again to buy new fixtures and grumbling that he further resented my asking him to finish a job for which I said I had already paid substantially. He spoke in a hostile, grudging tone...a man with a big chip on his shoulder...and made a number of impolite comments under his breath. He did recheck the lamp and when I offered to pay him for his time (a total of ten minutes) he declined and stomped off.

Claudio responded to my request immediately, and came to the house the following day. He is very professional and highly competent, we discussed the items that needed to be completed, and he began work that day. He performed all the tasks in a very workman like manner, and was always congenial and respectful. I am completely satisfied with his work and clean-up after finishing each task. If I have any other electrical work that needs doing, Claudio is the electrician I will call.

Everything went very well. Claudio was on time, professional and most importantly, able to complete the work within scope. We are very pleased with the result. I would definitely hire him again.

I have had an "electrical mystery" for a while with some lights going on and off and it was hard to get someone out here. Having seen the good reviews for Quick Response Electrical Service on Angie's List, I thought I'd give them a try. Claudio Oliveira lives up to the name of his business, and even though I contacted him this morning and he said he had a lot of calls to make, he agreed to try and get out to me this afternoon. He arrived earlier than I thought he'd make it, was very professional, assessed the problem (including some very old wiring), and found a way to restore my lights. He replaced an old outlet and also offered advice on a better solution to the problem, an expense I can't manage just now, but may do so down the road. He was more than reasonable in what he charged for the short-notice visit today. I would definitely recommend Claudio and will call him again if I need a Master Electrician.
