Picker Construction

Pablo was excellent. We had a hanging sink that was falling off the wall due to poor supporting stud construction. He did fantastic work notching studs around some tricky plumbing lines to create a stable support for the wall and the weight of the sink. He installed new drywall, came back three times to patch/skim with plaster, and reinstalled the sink. He communicated well, arrived on time, and was generally much more professional and skilled than other contractors I've worked with. I would rehire him in a second.
Plus, he sings while he works (no additional charge).

Pablo quoted me a fair price and was able to come onsite within a day. About 15 min into the job, Pablo came down to tell me that he could do the job for LESS than the original amount because wind blew much off the snow off of one side of the roof. He then proceeded to get every last snow flake off the roof and worked past sundown to do so. Great, honest, would hire again!

Pablo did a great job. He just did exactly what he said he was going to do and he did it when he told us he would do it. The quality of his work was excellent. He was extremely friendly and easy to work with. It just basically went exactly as everyone hopes it will go. There were zero issues. In fact when a few months later some water had gotten behind some tiles and caused a some cracking I texted Pablo a picture of the issue (which was really minor) and he literally sent someone out the next day to fix it.

They were wonderful; they came in on time, and on budget.

Lots of things come up with these jobs with old houses like ours (as Pablo Picker had forewarned me). It turned out that one house sill was rotten and had to be replaced, the drainage was towards the house, causing our previous water-in-the-basement problems,
Pablo and his crew are amazing! They are all incredibly exacting. (You should see our crown molding! - not a dimple in the paint to catch your eye!) You'd never see them goofing off. Pablo is often works on weekends to get the job done..
But the reason we hired him was that, beside his reasonable bid, he has a wonderful and quot;eyeand quot; and tremendous ideas. (Outward opening French doors... Gorgeous wood trim to cover our load-bearing room dividing beam.)
Everyone who comes here now is truly blown away by the difference this has made in our apt. (now 1300sf).

This was not a do over project. Kept the original cabinet boxes, added additional cab boxes for additional height , so the finished cabinets went to the ceiling height. The doors were new, as well as the hinges and hardware. I think it would have been easier to install all new cabinets, but it wasn't necessary to do this, and saved me a bunch of money.
This project required patience and attention to detail, and Pablo has both qualities.
He is a good listener, and works with you to achieve what you have in mind.
The electrical component( subcontractor) was a tad disappointing, my communication with them could have been improved, and I didn't end up with what I need. I can deal with it, I should have been more specific with that part.
I have worked with contractors many times before, Pablo was the best of all, I would highly recommend him!

Pablo was the consummate professional and did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has a project that needs some expert craftsmanship.

Picker constructions, particularly Pablo, was an excellent asset to our bathroom remodel. He was punctual and professional in all aspects of the project. He estimate was accurate and any change from the original estimate was outlined ahead of time. The project would have been completed on time, if our custom cabinets and sinks had arrived on time. I highly recommend Pablo and Picker constructions for any project. I will be using him in the future for our kitchen remodel.

We are still about ten days from move in. Condo access rules over the holidays cost the team at least 4 workdays at thanksgiving and 6 more at Christmas and new years. Despite that, most of the work had been done on time and within budget. All variances from the original plan have been documented and approved, in advance, with no surprises either way.
So far, we are delighted and we will update when we move in.
DO disclose plans and concerns early
DO listen to the workers ideas, in a few cases their improvements were dramatic and not expensive at all.
DO provide good, timely selection when it comes to paint choices, trims, materials, etc. It makes a huge difference in keeping up with the plan and can help the workers save time to get on schedule when things beyond their control (like building access) get unexpectedly restricted.

Excellent. He is pretty quick to respond, but sometimes he can get really busy and will fall off for a bit. But he has never not gotten back to me. He came over to the house for the first job and gave us an estimate that sounded too good to be true (it was about half of all the other estimates we received). I had heard of him from some co-workers so I went ahead and had him come in. He finished the job in one day, it looks amazing (considering he had to work with my crappy drywall job on the ceiling and wallpaper over old horsehair plaster. He painted over the wallpaper, which is by design). He was neat, cleaned everything up, and was friendly to our dog, even let her out when she whined.
The next job was the entryway to the house and it was the same experience. We were in no rush to get the job done since it was the middle of the summer. He was in the middle of a bathroom remodel elsewhere so he fit in the work when he could. It was thorough, meticulous and I can't believe how great it looks. He even saved us money by keeping all the trim and putting it back on after he'd put the wallboard up.
Pablo is one of the best contractors I've ever worked with.

We had a bad clog in the main plumbing of our house. Called Pablo and he was able to fix the problem and get my tenants bathroom back and up and running. Even cleaned and left the bathroom looking better then when he got there.

It went really well. Pablo picked up our two doors, from two different vendors. He worked very efficiently, finishing most of the work in one day. He came back to finish the custom threshold within a day or two. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and with how easy he is to work with/communicate with. He clearly takes pride in what he does.

Pablo's work is outstanding and I concur with all that has already been stated in other reviews here. He is the first person I go to for all work at my home. Let's start with the fact that Pablo is passionate about producing great results and that's what drives him. He is extremely skillful and if there is something that he can't do (rare) he will let you know and help you find someone who does.

Pablo is honest and never takes shortcuts. He would prefer to lose money on a job than have an unhappy client or do mediocre work. This saved me not only money but also time since I did not have to look over his shoulder. He takes ownership of a job and if there's a problem he will find a way to troubleshoot it. Which leads me to my next point - Pablo is very intelligent and a good communicator. Pablo made sure to communicate by phone, email and text when it made sense and we have never had a miscommunication. Working with him was a real pleasure on all levels.

Pablo came in on weekends to make sure the jobs got done on time with minimal disturbance. He respected agreed upon deadlines and did not jeopardize my deadlines by juggling too many jobs (as many contractors do). No matter how late it was, Pablo always wrapped up the day by cleaning up the job site and kept everything tidy.

Pablo's prices are competitive. I received multiple quotes before I hired him and Pablo's prices were more than fair. After the first time Pablo did a job for me, I stopped comparing prices. If I ever need anything, I know that Pablo will give me a fair price and I can skip the whole negotiations dance... Pablo is very conscious of budgetary constraints and found creative ways to produce great results at an affordable price.
