Mattresses
Mattress shopping was unpleasant, and it was nice to visit a store without pressure. They allowed us to try out beds uninterrupted for more than an hour. When we decided on the mattresses we liked, the salesman (Robert) told us about them and gave us a quote including the current sale. When we said we wanted to think about it, he gave us a card that would allow us to use the sale after it expired (or use the new one, whichever was better). We called 2 weeks later on a Saturday and paid over the phone. They delivered on Monday - on time, no less. They aren't cheap, but it was difficult to find reasonable mattresses that were inexpensive.
