Very well. They let me bring home samples so I could look at the options in the space where the rugs would be installed. They sent someone to measure, discuss options, and give me an estimate. And then the installer came and did a wonderful job. I would definitely use them again.

They have a wonderful selection and allow you to bring home many rugs to try out so you can see them in your home and not just in the store!

The service provided by the installers and the sales rep was fantastic.  I can't comment on price because what I picked out was expensive but they installed it EARLIER than originally scheduled and their work was flawless.  It was a first class and hassle free experience from the moment I walked through the door to look at samples until they walked out of my house with the job complete.

During our visit to the Landry and Arcari store the person helping us allowed us time to look, was helpful but did not hover. We chose  several samples of carpet runners to take home. The samples were examined on the stairs during various times of the day to determine the appearance during natural light and during the evening.  Upon picking our stair runner, we emailed our contact at the downtown Landry and Arcari store.

One of the owners of Landry and Arcari came to our home in the evening to perform the measurements in order to accommodate our busy work schedules.  He was thorough in explaining the process of laying the stair runner:  it required custom-fitting because the stairs were wider at the bottom.

We were comfortable with his explanations and decided to use this company rather than another in the industry.  After purchasing the carpet, the scheduling for the laying of the carpet required a few back and forth emails on our part to our contact with the company. This person apologized for not letting us of when to expect the delivery and installation because of being out of the office to attend to  personal affairs.

The resulting work is very good. It required artwork and careful attention to detail to make the pattern flow during its descent down the staircase.

Thus, this company is the one to use if one has an older home in which the dimensions are not standard.

I liked that they had a wide selection of carpet and stair runners, with a huge showroom. I would say thousands of samples. The longest part of the process was making a decision on the carpet. They were prompt. It was a smooth transaction. Everything they said that would happen did. They made it really easy. We went in and picked out our carpet. We then scheduled an appointment to have someone come and measure. That person came on time and it only took him a few minutes. They ordered the carpet and it came in on time. As soon as it came in they had someone install it within a few days. They did a good job and mailed me an invoice. Everything went smooth. The quality is excellent. They are rated the best in Boston and they definitely live up to that. The sales people were nice and helpful at identifying what we were looking for. They were knowledgeable about the product. They lent us samples to see what it would look like during the day and at night. They helped us narrow it down to 2 selections. They gave us a quote for each and we made a decision. It was just a really easy process.

We have a very distinct color (buttered yam) in the entryway to our second floor unit, and needed an elegant runner that harmonized with this bold entry color Within a very short time, the L & Arcari salesperson directed us to the possible choices. He was obviously well versed in L & A's stock and had a good eye to boot. The fellow who came out to our house to measure was quite professional, and did an excellent job helping us determine proper width, and where to begin and end the runner (all tricky things given the layout here). Our entrance is now quite striking, and many friends have commented on how the entry space envelops you and creates such a warm, welcoming mood. With L & A's expert guidance and runner choices, we know we got the entrance JUST RIGHT!

We liked a product that was on clearance, so price was quite good. Installation went smoothly and of exceptional quality. Carpet has held up well for past 3 years.

You can't go wrong with them, but they are definitely more pricey. They do perfect work. They have two locations now that they opened a second location in Boston. They send out two guys to pick them up from your house. They deliver it back and then they unroll it. They move furniture and stuff like that. I think they only do cleaning for customers who have bought rugs for them though. I absolutely love them though.

Knew I wanted a Tibetan wool carpet, did a little local shopping but was deeply impressed by the selection at L&A. The prices were on the high end, but the quality was superb and the service was over-the-top excellent. They spent over an hour peeling back layers and layers of carpets, laying out any we were interested in to allow us to walk over them and compare. They then offered to have us take any number of carpets home to lay out in our home, live with them for a week, view them in various light, before we made our selection. They set up schedule for deliveries with our needs a priority. Their delivery guys were sharp and polite, laid out the carpets where we wanted (lifting heavy furnishings), making sure everything was just right.
