My husband and I have John to thank for helping us buy our first home, one which we are very proud to own and happy to live in. After a brief tour of area homes, we found our current home on a listing thanks to the Trulia app. Without hesitation, John drove us to the home and found a way for us to tour the home as soon as possible. The next week, when we wanted to put in an offer, both my husband and I couldn't be at the open house, so John camped out at the house all day, met the seller, and gave us a full recap of the open house developments. 
As if the initial proceedings of the house purchase didn't go well enough, John made sure that the next phases of the purchase went just as smoothly. He was on call whenever we needed to be, and was extremely responsive despite my husband being in another country while the paperwork was being signed and my working late nights. He made the whole process easy for us! 
On top of how well John delivered on his promises, he has a very engaging and warm personality, making the home buying process enjoyable rather than daunting. I HIGHLY recommend John to anyone looking to buy a home in the Boston area and beyond!

We met John Dean at an open house near our condo and we were impressed that he managed to sell that house before it even went on the market. He talked to us about what we were looking for in a new place and he listened to our concerns about selling our condo. Within a few days he sent us a thoughtful, hand written card and suggested that we meet to continue our conversation. By the time we met, he had already done market research on our property and we knew we had found the right agent for us. He reviewed the entire selling and buying process, helped us find contractors to fix up minor issues in our unit, advised us on how to stage our unit, and set up a timeline that was manageable for us. He held one weekend of open houses and secured an offer from a qualified buyer in less than a week.
Once the unit was under agreement, he launched into the process of finding a new home. He encouraged us to be patient and find a home that would be truly enjoyable to live in. We were eager to move and were willing to put in an offer on two places but he did market research and the results convinced us that it would not be a reasonable investment. After about 10 days of hunting, we found a promising home that was at the top of our price range and we put in an offer. it was an older home and during the inspection we found several serious, extremely expensive problems that would need to be fixed immediately. Sadly, we had to walk away from that property. A few days later he got us in to see a similar house in the same neighborhood before it went on the market. We put in a bid but it was not accepted. He remained cheerful during the next 6 weeks as we looked at properties in 8 different communities. Ultimately, we found an outstanding, totally gut-rehabbed home for $75,000 less than the offer we put in on the first place.
Most importantly, John was patient and understanding when we encountered problems...and we encountered many obstacles. There were bizarre legal glitches in both the selling and the buying process that consumed an enormous amount of time to resolve. Then tragically, the day after we filed our mortgage paperwork to buy our home, my mother, father, and brother were killed in a car accident. John went to amazing lengths to help us navigate through an absolute nightmare - my husband and I were in between residences and staying with friends, we had to assume some major expenses to bury family members which reeked havoc on our mortgage process, and our closing was pushed back repeatedly because of an interdepartmental dispute in city government. Thanks to tremendous work by John, our lawyer, and our mortgage broker, we were able to finally close 4 weeks later...just in time for my birthday. May you never fully understand what it meant to me to be able to have something to celebrate on that day. I would recommend John to everyone.

They offer a very high level of service and everything so far has been prompt and professional. They seem to be of a high quality based off of the materials they gave me regarding the sale of my home.

Adele is great to work with. Very knowledgeable, personable, understanding, and fun. Looking for a home in the Cambridge / Somerville area is quite challenging, especially with the time pressure of trying to get the first time homebuyer credit. But we "pounded the pavement" (Adele's words), looking at 5-12 homes per week over 7 weeks, and finally found what we were looking for. She was very supportive through the entire search, and the three offers, and finally the closing. I never once doubted her ability; and she managed to keep our spirits up even though the search seemed futile at times. Seeing so many places (about 50 in all) enabled us to refine our expectations, making them more realistic, and in tune with our budget. Rather than getting a 2 bed 2 bath upper floor condo with a big yard and 2 car garage with an unreasonable mortgage payment, 5% down payment and FHA loan process, we got a 2 bed 1 bath 1st floor unit with one off-street spot and small yard, with a manageable mortgage and 10% down payment. And a fantastic location!

My interaction with them was fine and there was nothing in particular. Their professionalism was fine and they helped us too. I think their charge was around $8000 and was average. I might use their services again.

When John Bigelow of Coldwell Banker on Huron Ave in Cambridge sold our Cambridge home we had an excellent offer in the first week and the final deal in place after 30 days. The final price was only a couple of percent below our aggressive asking price. This was in spring 2010, not an easy market. He instructed us on how to get our place ready for sale, and presented it to its full advantage. He reeled in motivated, qualified buyers and screened out tourists, tirekickers and bargain hunters. He handled difficult people on the buy side with patience and professionalism. This town is densely packed with realtors, and John is by far the best of the bunch.

I had to sell a house in Lexington and find a new place to live in Belmont. She took care of everything, and even found the perfect home for me to move in to, which was a 2 family home with a huge yard. She took the time to really get to know me and what I liked and could afford. She did not waste my time showing me things that would not be suitable. When it came time to make an offer on the new house, she advised me to bid lower than I had intended. By doing this, she lost money herself but saved me thousands. After I moved in, she came over and helped me decorate, again, considering my taste, needs and budget. I really admire her professionalism and kind heart.

Coldwell Banker is the one and only mortgage company I would use and therefore recommend to others. I contacted them because I wanted to find a real estate broker. Angela was the one who was the most helpful. They were extremely professional.
