Homesite Group Inc

Had insurance thru this comapny on my home for 10-1-11 to 10-1-12 then for this year to October of 2013 they jacked up the price almost $1,000.00.

I had to call the agent 16 times to get a response, after I had left messages on her phone, on her supervisor's phone and with co-workers. She asked for the 4 inch thick copy of the condo rules and regulations, promising to return it to me or repay the $50 printing costs , plus the cost of overnight postage. That was in 2009, and I am still waiting for the money or the documents.  I spent hours on the phone today trying to resolve this and found someone on the third phone call that actually seemed to be wiling to do something. A caller/client has to go through endless questions and button pushing to get to a human being. The other two gave me phone numbers to another company that had actually handled the claim, they said, and might have the documents, but that number just routed me back to Homesite.  Someone is to get back to me on Wed. I had cancelled the insurance when they promised the same service for much higher rates when it was time for renewal, and  I found much better homeowners insurance for much less with Met-Life.

Very lousy service.

Homesite was contacted by me and the California Department of Insurance and has continued to claim that this extraordinary rate increase is responsible and appropriate.
