The owner Gavin was a very aggressive salesman in working to get this job.  I did not call them as I was not looking to get the stairs done even though they needed it. They we doing work in the neighborhood and stopped on several occasions to almost beg me to let them do this work....and of course he promised a First Class Job.  In and effort to get me to say Yes he kept on adding in extra's...like redoing any worn or broken bricks and upgrading the trends to granite from the current sandstone.  I agree to let them go ahead, but asked for what we agreed to in writing before the job began.  For 2 weeks, I did not hear from him or receive anything in the mail in and then one morning this guy, who spoke little to no English, and did not introduce himself or ring the door bell, just started tearing the stairs apart.  As we were not able to speak with him, my wife who was home at the time just let him do his work.  What shocked me when I came home from work was that they only replaced the top trend and replaced it with sandstone, not granite, and poor workmanship as well. I called Gavin the owner to say is was not correct and he did admit that they did screw up and got a few jobs confused.  I had to remind him of what we had agreed to for scope and materials, to which he said he could not do all that work for the amount we agreed on (Classic bait and switch...or just plain poor memory).  I again said I wanted a quote.  Another week goes by and this guy once again shows up  with no notice and starts working again...still not quote.  Had to call the owner again, who said he put the quote in our mailbox last night, which we were not made aware of.  Overall it was a very very poor experience and will not work with them again.

FRAUD!! Thief. Disgrace to the honest hard working Irish!!

I was very pleased with the results and would recommend High Class Masonry to my friends or family. The owner, Gavin, promptly responded to my e-mail and within a day or two I had a very fair quote for the rock work on my property. One refreshing aspect of doing business with Gavin was that he was extremely responsive (another outfit I contacted gave me a call three days later and one never called) answering his mobile almost every time I called or quickly responding to messages. My only regret is that I waited so long to call them. I couldn't be happier with the work they've done.
