Crooked and Incompetent! Avoid working with this man if you value your time and money. Mr. Breau told me and many others he was an architect; because I knew him socially and trusted him, I decided to use him to plan the remodel of my new townhouse without doing my due diligence on his qualifications. After he billed me $1200 for some very poor quality preliminary drawings that didn't remotely resemble what I had asked for, I became suspicious and checked on him. Surprise! He's not even an architect. He calls himself a "designer" since that allows him to slip past the regulations of the profession of architecture, but nevertheless creates plans for major renovations for realtors and other individuals in the area. He informed me when confronted about this that he never promised to do blueprints (a lie), that he would have to send his "ideas" to a licensed architect (more money) to actually get blueprints that could be given to a contractor. Obviously I pulled the plug on this relationship after giving him $200 to measure my home. I never got any plans that I could use, and I am suing him in small claims court to get my $200 back.
