 + -1 moreWorking with Jackie Del Fonso was a joy. She listens. She took my original vision, enriched it and made it a reality. The end result was more beautiful than I ever anticipated. She came in right on target budget-wise. She created the design and painted the stencil in record time. It was complicated too because she had to lay on the paint in layers. For the Half Bath, she had to strip the old wallpaper off the walls. She was very efficient, well organized and kept the work area clean. Again, the project progressed in record time. The entire hallway and Half Bath were transformed from shabbiness to perfection in just a few days. Also, Jackie communicates very clearly and made herself always available for any questions or concerns I had.
Description of Work: My house was built in 1868. I have taken care to restore it to its original condition. When I decided to hire Jackie Del Fonso to design and paint a stencil in my 24' hallway, I made one of the best decisions I've ever made. Jackie designed and executed a 3-layer stencil in 4 colors around the upper edge of my hallway, near the ceiling. The first thing she did after we discussed what I had in mind was to thoroughly research designs from the 1860's and 1870's in New England homes. She took inspiration from the past, and added her own creative touch. The stencil was 12" in height as my ceilings are high, and the final effect is stunning. I am so proud of my hallway as it is so unique and complements the overall decor of my home. Her design sense is incredible! Jackie also did a faux finish painting treatment in my Half Bath. The Bathroom wall area covered was approximately 130 sq. ft. as I have cherry wood wainscoting below, and the faux finish painting went from the wainscoting to the ceiling. The color combination in the three layers creates a heavenly hue that has dimension you cannot capture with a paint off the shelf.
