Patti complimented the condition of the handles and sharpened the set to perfection. Shortly afterward, my son hired a professional chef to come to his home to cater a dinner party. The chef expressed great surprise at the condition of of the blades he used during the job. My son will watch Patti's schedule and continue to use her services. I will take my new set of MESSERMEISTER knives as needed. I learned something in every conversation we had in addition to being pleased with her work.
Description of Work: I was finally upgrading and wanted to pass on the set of CHICAGO CUTLERY knives I had owned for at least 32 years to my son. I had never had them professionally sharpened and didn't know whether they could get a good edge.

I brought my knives to On The Edge @ Pemberton Farms in Cambridge. On the Edge sets up there on the 1st Sunday each month and also travels to several of the local farmers markets and farm stands--a calendar with dates/locations is on their website. I was able to drop the knives off around 11am and picked them back up around 2:30pm. Note: It can be hard to predict how long knives will take depending on their condition and the volume of customers and knives. I've had my knives for around 10 years and they are used but not abused and have always been professionally hand-sharpened. I was pleased that I was able to receive them back on the same day and they all cut beautifully again. I would highly recommend Patti for her work, knowledge and efficiency.
Description of Work: Sharpened five knives: two chef's knives, two paring knives, and one carving knife. Cost was $40.

I placed my knives on the front porch for pickup and they were returned to me the next day. I have subsequently used them all and they are all very sharp and seem to be cutting wonderfully!
Description of Work: I had several knives sharpened that were dull and one had some chipping. I had them picked up and dropped off at my house within 24 hours.
