Sunspace Designs

We were very happy with the work they did on the main addition, but we were not happy with the gutters. They didn't catch the rain. We tried a couple of times to get them to come and fix it. While the main contact we had was very responsive, the subcontractors were not. Even the things we talked to them about early, they didn't come by.

We had used Sunspace in the past to remodel some bathrooms. They do excellent work. Drew Hale is extremely response and all the subs are excellent. Carpenter John Wells is extremely professional and takes great pride in his work. Our kitchen is gorgeous and the basement looks like a real room, not a basement. We are very pleased.

We had no issues with them at all, they were extremely responsive and professional. We were always kept informed. We have recently hired them to renovate our kitchen. Work quality was excellent.

I'D RATE THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THE WORK AS VERY GOOD, BUT IT TOOK MUCH LONGER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE. DREW HALE ESTIMATED THE JOB AT 4 WEEKS IN HIS QUOTE. THEY FINISHED IN 11 WEEKS. MOST OF THE TIME THERE WAS NO ONE ON SITE. THEIR CARPENTER, JOHN WELLS, DID A GOOD JOB. I'D PROBABLY HIRE HIM AGAIN. THE ELECTRICIAN, ED MCKIE, WAS A LITTLE PRICEY BUT DID GOOD WORK. THE PERSON THEY HIRED TO LEVEL THE FLOOR, MIKE MCLEAN, WAS INCOMPETENT. THE JOB INVOLVED POURING NEW CONCRETE OVER THE EXISTING SLAB, AND THEN GRINDING THE NEW POUR. IT HAD TO BE DONE AGAIN. THE GUY WHO PUT DOWN THE TILE FLOOR, RICK DAIGLE, GOT IT RIGHT ON HIS SECOND TRY. HIS FIRST ATTEMPT WAS A FAILURE BECAUSE HE TILED OVER MCLEAN'S SEVERELY UNEVEN FLOOR. TO SUNSPACE'S CREDIT, THEY NEVER ARGUED THEY WEREN'T SCREWING UP, AND DID EVENTUALLY FIX ALL PROBLEMS SATISFACTORILY. I JUST THINK I COULD HAVE HIRED THE LOCAL GUY WHO RENOVATED MY BATHROOM, AND GOT SOMETHING AT LEAST AS NICE, AND DONE SOONER, AND FOR LESS MONEY.
