"Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the concerns raised regarding the recent flooring project completed by My Energy Saver. We would like to clarify several important points: - Scope of Work: The original estimate provided to the homeowner was for the installation of vinyl flooring only. It did not include subfloor replacement. During the project, we discovered that the existing subfloor was uneven, which required the installation of 1/4" plywood to ensure a proper and lasting finish. We clearly communicated that this would incur an additional cost, and the homeowner agreed to proceed. - Additional Services Provided at No Charge: Our team assisted with moving a significant amount of furniture across multiple rooms, a service we provided free of charge. We also handled the removal and disposal of old carpet and vinyl debris at no additional cost to the homeowner. - Bedroom Flooring: The bedroom was not included in the subfloor upgrade at the homeowner’s request. We offered to install the vinyl flooring in that room as well, along with baseboards and trim, for an additional fee. The homeowner declined this offer. - Project Completion: At no point did we refuse to complete the job. We fulfilled the agreed-upon scope of work and went beyond by providing complimentary services. The transition areas were left unfinished only because the additional work was not authorized by the homeowner. Given the above, we believe the request for a $500 refund is not warranted, as the work completed aligns with the agreed scope and terms.
