Keith and his team did an excellent job. They showed up on time and made sure that they completed the work according to the contract. They were thorough with both cutting the trees and grinding the stumps. The team also removed debris from the work area as requested.

We first spoke with Carlos who works for McDonald Tree on a cracking and deteriorating tree that had the potential for some real damage. After he explained how he could see that it was just a matter of time and a full explanation of how it was affecting the tree right next to this one, we said yes to services. We also had the chance to speak with Kevin, the owner, and felt good about everything that was about to happen. Everything went as well as planned and we would not hesitate to use these guys in the future. TY guys and hope not to see you soon. HaHa. But if we do have problems, we know who to call.

OUTSTANDING! Keith came to give me a quote (on a holiday!) and said that he wanted to work within my budget. He did. Just 4 days after the quote (and a handshake deal), Keith and his crew arrived at my house ON THE EVE of our town's first snowstorm! He and his crew did exactly what they promised. Their work was skillful, professional, and timely! They were even nice to my dog! In terms of work done, professional attitude, and customer service, MacDonald Tree and Landscape were OUTSTANDING. Keith and his team did a fantastic job at my house. They removed 2 60' Maple trees from my yard which were between the front of the house and the street with power lines in the way, and one of the trees was up against a new aluminum 5' tall fence. They took both trees down, ground the stumps, and cleaned up in less than 2 hours and didn't damage any landscaping (arborvitae trees and fountain grass). Not to mention, I got 5 quotes for this job and Keith's quote was roughly $500 less than the average quote - all other quotes were more expensive and did not include stump grinding. I highly recommend McDonald Tree Service.

I was very disappointed in McDonald. First, I fell for the "I'll give you this price if you commit now." He was more expensive than other quotes, but I like to keep my business local if possible. They indeed came and took the tree down. However, they left ALL the large, cut pieces of the tree strewn about the area of the tree. He promised to come back and remove them. He never did. When I called to remind him the first time, he was very friendly and said sure, he'd be sure to come get them. He never did and failed to respond to my numerous voice mail messages after that. To make matters worse: he lives in my neighborhood! Now I have to pay someone else to remove them. I would not recommend this company. Ever.

I had a very large limb from a tree fall on my house during one of the winter storms we had. I called Keith, he came right away and gave me an estimate. He was very polite and helpful. He was booked solid, (there were trees down everywhere from the storm), but squeezed me in. The crew was great; they were fast, thorough and neat. Very happy with the job and have no complaints whatsoever. I would highly recommend and definitely use again.

Keith was very responsive to my request for an estimate and was able get the work done within a week of the request. He showed up with his 2 sons and 1 other worker (Marty). Withing 2 1/2 hours that had completed all the work and left the yard clean. They did everything using just chainsaws and ropes. I would definitely recommend McDonald's Tree and Landscape if you're looking for a reasonably priced tree service.

Great. Two guys came and climbed and carefully took down the entire tree in just a few hours, and cleaned up the yard very well. They did not damage anything nearby, and because they climbed there was no lawn damage from cranes or other heavy equipment. (I was surprised they didn't need it because these were large trees.) Very happy with the service.

They did an excellent job and cleaned up nicely. It was bitter cold weather. They gave a very fair price and I would definitely use them again.

Keith was excellent. Returned messages promptly, his crew arrived on time, and it was a well coordinated effort. These guys climb trees and lower limbs w rope, so there are no large cranes or trucks, which I believe increases the price for this type of service. Keith's price was quite fair. Keith subs out the stump grinding service, and this guy was excellent too. When he broke our invisible fence line, which he warned me was likely because of proximity, he called Keith right away about it, who then called me.

They did a good job and the crew was safe and professional.

Keith was very responsive and punctual. The workers were very courteous and cleaned up afterwards. Everyone was very accommodating. The neighbor added more trees to the job and another neighbor was so impressed he hired them.

Went perfect. The crew showed up on time and worked tirelessly for over 4 hours. They cleaned up after the work and left our lawn clean of all debris.

Project completed

Work went great. The crew showed up promptly worked throughout the day taking down each tree. I was a bit nervous at first when they said they didn't need a crane to do the job. But quickly went away while watching the climber prune then leverage the other trees around to prevent large limbs from crashing down on fence or pool.

Everything went very well. Not a single complaint. Prompt call back, very good price, polite and professional communication. Tree crew was great, knew what they were doing. The trees were large, and the crew used a climber and ropes to take them down with minimal to no damage to the yard.

These guys are expert climbers, if others have told you that they'd have to bring in a crane and tear up your yard, call McDonald.
The first encounter was excellent, as they were able to show up the day after a bad storm to clear trees that had been knocked onto a house.  Got the trees down without causing/allowing any (more) damage.  Their quote was much cheaper than others and final bill was only slightly more than quote (understandable given the difficult job).
Second visit was to remove 3 trees from the backyard, quote and final price were identical.  Again cheaper than other quotes, but more important, they got the trees down by climbing, without driving cherry pickers or cranes through the yard.  Other guys said they would be driving equipment back there.
Would use them again no doubt.

His guys were well skilled in climbing up trees and knocking off branch-by-branch before felling the tree in a crowded area. Very responsive and dealt with changes in original proposal. Would recommend to anyone for honesty and integrity.

The two trees had been worrying us for some time.  However, access to the trees was difficult.   In December, Keith McDonald was removing several trees from my neighbor's property.  It was a good time, because the ground was hard and the snow had not come yet.  Keith came over and asked me about a tree of the neighbor's that was near the property line and leaning badly into our lot.  Would I consider splitting the cost with my neighbor.  I said fine and Keith said he would charge me $750 and get the other half from the neighbor, no problem for me.  A little later Keith asked about the second large tree, which was on my property but also threatened my neighbor on the other side.  Keith proposed and would arrange another split 700/700 with that neighbor, which also worked out fine.  A particular advantage with the second tree was that his equipment could get access via my neighbor's lot.
Both trees were removed with impressive skill.  The McDonald cousins (both named Keith, I think) direct a crew of extremely skilled, you might even say artistic, workers who were beautiful to watch as they removed the heavy limbs using only ropes, without aid of a cherry-picker.   Many small branches and much sawdust accumulated on the ground, but the crew cleaned it up to my satisfaction. 
Overall, working with the McDonalds was very good.  They are responsible and responsive, and we worked on the basis of two handshakes.   I would definitely use them again.
