KB Masonry and Waterproofing

PROJECT SCOPE Repair and repoint a masonry foundation wall CAVALIER with minimum inspection, KB Masonry propose quote rebuild( )rebuild the distressed wall from the ground up for 3200 dollars , including 2200 Deposit. Vague contract the kb masonry contact description was highly generic the following check boxes were checked, the water proof feeler and repointing , all masonry work. PRICE TRAP Work Barely started when workers discovered a problem. The project cost increase 3200 dollars to 25000 dollars! HIGH PRESSURE I was advice that catastrophic failure was imminent . KB masonry claimed it was obligated to report to report me to city officials If i did not immediately accept their 25 thousand dollars bid and repair the foundation at the very moment. If I decline kb masonry claimed the city would revoke of occupancy permit for our home . We would be homeless and my deposit would be forfeited OUTCOME I decline the inflated cost period , A second contractor confirm that were more expensive work appropriate The second contractor beautifully repaired and repointed the entire foundation, Not just discrete inspection for nine thousand dollars This is one third KB masonry Price ARROGANT KB masonry decline to refund any portion of my deposit , accepting no responsibility for their inept initial assessment or subsequent price gouging . KB Masonry did not honor their pledge of 100% satisfaction , I do not recommend KB Masonry.
