Demolition occurred right before Halloween, and we were told it would be a 2 week job. We chose him because a friend suggested him. The job was just completed, 2 months later! There were a few hiccups beyond his control with our electrical, but not enough to take as long as it did. Our project was not his priority, and communication with him was horrible. He did not return calls or texts promptly, he did not keep us informed as to when his workers were going to be working in the home (or not), he did not consult us with details of the job (put in the tub/shower, light switches, ceiling light/fan without consulting with us what was going in, and we did not know what was going to be done, when, so we didn't check with him before he put stuff in.). His attention to detail was poor - we had to tell him to secure the vanity, the paint job was poor around the trim, doors were put in where the hinges and door knobs were different colors (he wanted us to leave it that way), the doors were painted white but not sanded down on the edges so they are rough to touch. The tub/shower and light switch are not what I would have chosen, but we will live with it. Again, he did not consult with us before doing things. When asked when the project would be completed, he kept putting us off. When pressed, he told us the first week of Dec, - we told him we needed it done by Dec 13th because we had a party the following weekend, He said it would be done. Days would go by with no work being done on the bathroom. Needless to say it was not done in time. The toilet and sink were functional but the job was not complete, and the plastic and cardboard that were put on the carpet and floors were left there (we were told that we could pull all that up ourselves - he had a family event that he had to attend!). We refused to do work that he should have done. His team eventually cleaned up (on his schedule, days after it should have been) but there was a lot of dust and dirt left in the bathroom. There were still small things left that he should have done, but we just wanted to be done with him and did the rest ourselves. The bathroom looks nice, but there are things that would have been done differently if we had been consulted. I just hope the bathroom stands the test of time.
