They never showed up on the moving date and failed to respond for request for return of refund. NEVER EVER use this company for any move!

They left half of our stuff in storage. When they arrived, they charged us double to unload the first half. We then had to fly back, rent a U-Haul truck, and drive back to Florida. We also had to pay double for storage.

Fine, just realize as with any job, time is money, and if your move takes more time then planned, it will cost more.

They misquoted us by $3,000.00, so they "appeared cheap" in the begining, held our stuff hostage in the truck till we paid in cash, lied about hours they worked loading and unloading, didn't show up on time or bring wardrobe boxes, broke and tree, and ran over where our septic system was. It was a HUGE scam and they should be put out of buisness!

First and formost, do not ever consider using Father & Son Moving & Storage!  They are Scam artists.
In March of 2012 my wife and I got 3 estimates to move our belongings from our 3 bedroom home 21 miles to our new home.  Father & Son's estimate was within a few dollars from one other.  We unfortunately chose Father & Son.  They quoted us $1,327.20.  About a month before the move I called them because we needed to move out a day earlier.  They said there would not be a problem and it would cost an extra $200 for overnight storage and possible another hour travel at $118/hr.
On May 29, 2012 the dispatcher called and told me I would need to have $1,300 in cash for day on and another $1,100 for day 2.  All of a sudden we were up to $2,400.  I asked to speak to the person I had been communicating with in previous conversations.  He told me that it would be more like $1,900 and if I didn't like it I could get someone else.  This was not possible of course since I had to be out of the house we were selling.  I questioned the size of the truck they were using and he assured me as he had previously that they move these size homes all the time and there would be no problem.  I was skeptical so I pressed him.  I told him we had about 200 boxes packed.  He suggested we get a U-haul.  We rented a 20 foot truck and moved all of the boxes our self.
On the morning of May 30 the crew showed up and immediately told us that they could not fit everything in the truck.  I was forced to rent another U-haul, this time a 26 foot truck.  At about 2:30 the lead crew member said their truck was full and it was time to pay.  He handed me a bill for $3,590.20!  I was shocked.  They demanded $3,500 cash and I had no choice since they had my furniture.
On June 1 we moved into our new home.  At about 1:30 the lead crew member said it was time to pay.  This time they wanted $973.  They had about 56 pieces of our furniture still on the truck.  I got the local police involved and was able to get the bill down to $650.  In all I paid them $4,150 and $602.50 for the 3 U-Haul trucks.  They moved about 1/2 of our belongings.  Further they padded the bill to the tune of $489.  They also charged $75 for moving exercise equipment which was one machine that they left behind for me to move.
This is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with.  I would highly suggest you stay clear.

Wow, do I wish I had read Angie's List before this nightmare.
This was the single most terrible moving experience in my entire life. I have moved all over the world, for a total of 20 moves, and never have I been so disrespected and scammed. Suffice it to say that after being given an approx $900 estimate, we were more than a bit surprised for the grand total to have almost TRIPLED. As another reviewer pointed out, the move took considerably longer than it should have.
This company claims to be "licensed piano movers". What a joke! I want to be VERY clear that the movers who did the actual moving, were VERY pleasant, good people. But "licensed piano movers" they were NOT. Two of the men told me when I brought them lunch, that they were "visiting their brother and friend" from abroad, and "helping out" with extra work. That was not an issue for me, until half way up the stairs with my piano, one of them had a panic attack and LEFT the other holding the entire weight of the piano on his own. That could have ended very badly. But the worst is yet to come...
When I wrote/called Mike, who missed our scheduled phone appointment, because he had "food poisoning", asking how the movers could possibly be licensed movers, much less PIANO movers, when they didn't even sound like they were employed by the company. How could they be, when in their own words they were "visiting" from abroad, and just "helping out " their families?
That's when Mike called me a racist. He said it was racist that I was "having a problem with the movers not being from this country." I consider it an implied threat, calling me a racist. (I am, by the way, NOT originally from this country.) I can only assume that it was his way of safeguarding against me taking legal action for the absolutely terrible moving experience that cost me three times the estimate?  (I don't have a racist bone in my body and was seriously offended and hurt. All I wanted was proof of licensing for moving my piano, not birth certificates!!!!) PIANO MOVERS is what I paid for...otherwise I could have moved the d*** thing myself!
I can reiterate again, that the movers were great guys, just inexperienced. (As a side note- one of the movers even asked me "how come you're paying so much more than the regular hourly"? Even for weekend rate. It ended up being even more because they upped the overtime charge at the end as well.)
This experience was so emotionally draining for me, that I don't think I'm even going to bother mentioning the damage that was done to our brand new home. The deep nicks in the walls....the scratches on the new hardwoood floor.
Thank you Father and Son, for making the move into our very first home the worst day possible, and gouging us for money. Whoever started this company, with it's "Mom & Pop" ring to it, must be very disappointed.

Moving
This is a very sketchy company particularly in terms of their professionalism.
We called to receive an estimate for a local move which we received promptly however they were on the very high end compared to other estimates we received. The company we used for our last move and were very happy with gave us one of the better estimates we received thus with both of those factors we decided not to use their services and assumed that would be the end of things.
Several days later my wife received the quote a second time - I assumed this was an error that someone picked up our file again or that the system had a glitch and left it there. At the end of the week my wife received the quote a third time followed up with a call shortly after. Upon telling the sales person that we decided not to use their services they tried to frighten us back. We were told about how companies who ask for deposits are typically brokers and not small local businesses, we would not receive anywhere near the level of service, and that they would try to give us a low estimate and close out with a much higher price. When my wife told them that the other company was local, we had used them before, they were professional, prompt, courteous, less than their estimate, and did not employ scare tactics they gave her some attitude before giving up their shtick.
Avoid these people!
