He painted the exterior of my house. Shortly afterwards white staining appeared in many places. I called Paul and he asked that I call the owner of the paint store where he bought the paint. The owner came out to my house and reviewed the issue and said it either needed to be washed off or repainted. I tried calling Paul many times and actually spoke with him twice, he always promised that he didn't forget me. Said he would be at my home in July, no so show, then the week after Labor day, no call/no show and on October 22, again, no show. I even tried asking the general contractor for help and he didn't have any luck with Paul. I finally contacted the paint store owner and asked for a referral, the owner said at this point the entire house would need to be repainted. I selected a painter and, for an additional $3,500, he repainted the house two weeks ago. The owner of the store felt bad for me and donated the paint. I have left several messages for Paul, even one saying last chance before I file a small claims suit, pay me $3,500 and we are done.......no call back.

"I was hired to paint trim and the one side of (Member)'s house that had been re sided.. After doing the job I spoke to (Member) about possibly painting the old aluminum siding on the other 3 sides. I painted the siding 2 times to make the job look good however with deep paints a soapy substance sometimes surfaces and eventually will wash away or need to be physically washed. I agreed to do this procedure and stayed busy this past Fall. He evidently hired someone to paint the siding. He told me that it was done in one day at a price of $3500..00. This is ridiculous, he jumped the gun and overpaid (supposedly) a contractor to do something that could have been fixed in an afternoon. I've been painting locally for 35 years without any problems. This guy is evidently unhappy with his life and is trying to stir up trouble. Very sad. I will not pay him anything toward his poor decision to paint his house. I painted his garage, trim and siding on his house twice , for around the same price that he paid someone to paint just the siding on the house. Thanks for allowing me to give you my story"
