BARROWCLOUGH CONTRACTING

Great job,

I hired Barrowclough to replace some gutters, repair others and replace water damaged wood. I told him that the big problem I was having was water running behind the gutter on the second story. The work was done in the fall and when spring rolled around the water was once again flowing between the gutter and the house, Most of the other areas were better managed and the wood replacement seems to be complete. This is not the first time I have hired them and each time something was left undone or not done to my satisfaction. A job 80 - 90% done is just not good enough for me to hire them again.

What I like most about Tom Barrowclough, is his responsiveness. When I leave him a message, I can rely on a return phone call within 24 hours. He is very professional, courteous and thorough. Because he is a long-time local, he is careful to protect his reputation for good work.
The work was finished ahead of schedule and the 2 men who did the house repairs were careful and cleaned up the site when they were through. Reynolds Seamless Gutters did the gutter install, overseen by Barrowclough. They were efficient and organized.
The one part of this job that was less than excellent was the work of the house painter working for Barrowclough. He left paint chips everywhere, all through the shrubs and fresh mulch around the house. He couldn't figure out a way to paint behind a rather large rhododendron that grows along the garage, until I suggested he use one of my tarps and rope to gather it up away from the siding. At the end of one day of painting, he stored his stack of ladders ON TOP OF my flower garden instead of on the grass. When I called Tom to complain, he sent over his other crew at the end of the day and they moved the ladders for me onto the grass. I appreciated the quick response. 
I have used Barrowclough Contracting twice and would use him again.

They were very reasonable and extremely responsive .

Mr.. Barraclough is the best ..he has done several jobs for me and solved lots of house problems...his service is excellent ..you get your calls returned and written estimates very quickly..he even returned a call to me once while on his summer vacation to reassure me he could helps me with a carpentry problem when he returned..his crew is good too ..I recommend him and know you will not be disappointed...

Everything went very smooth. They have a really good reputation in the area and they have been around for about 15 years. They are local and are pretty established and know the area very well.  They were quick to respond and came out and gave the estimate. Their pricing was a little on the higher side. They were very professional and did a good job.

They did work on my mom's house were we are currently staying, it went great, they were very friendly and responsive to our concerns and prompt and efficient, the work looks really good.
