UPS STORE

I guess I have only myself to blame for trusting these jokers again. A few years ago, they messed up a simple overnight shipment of a PC: they shipped it ground instead (but conveniently charged me overnight). And a colleague justhad the exact same thing happen to him with another UPS store two weeks ago. But they are near my house, so I guess laziness trumped caution. I shipped an urgent letter envelope, the loss of which cost me $500 to replace. Naturally, it didn't arrive. It conveniently fell off the grid in Stamford. I don't know if these guys are crooked or not (e.g., cahoots with UPS people at regional sorting hubs) or if UPS is just incompetent. I can't say either way, so I wouldn't make any claim either way. All I know for sure is that in my experiences, they can't get shipments right at this store and I will never trust this store in particular again; and strongly advise you to think twice before you entrust anything to UPS in general and this store in particular. Oh, and to add insult to injury: the guy at the store told me to ''deal with corporate'' as he didn't want to deal with an irate customer ticked off over the loss of 500. (I guess he would have been happy to lose 500 dollars.) Very unprofessional. For that reason alone, even if they ever found my package (something I highly doubt), I would never trust this guy again.
